Hi,
Welcome to this guided meditation to discover your deepest longing.
We'll use the next few minutes to center ourselves and explore what our heart is longing for.
Perhaps closing your eyes or turning your gaze downward.
Relaxing any areas of obvious tension that may have crept into the body.
Perhaps any tension in your face,
Your shoulders,
Your abdomen.
Just letting that go.
Letting go of any need to control or fix anything or attend to anything other than your breath.
Bring attention to your breath wherever you notice it most easily.
Perhaps at the tip of your nostrils.
Perhaps at the rise and fall of your chest or your belly.
Breathing in deeply.
Breathing out with ease.
Enjoying a few rounds of breath with no agenda.
Testing an awareness of the breath.
Now touching into your heart with wonder and curiosity and asking yourself,
What does my heart long for?
And then listening for the answer.
What does my heart long for?
Perhaps you want to be healthy or relaxed or have more work or more friends or a partner.
Just asking yourself again,
What does my heart long for?
And accepting whatever arises.
Continuing to ask the question and pausing and paying attention to and accepting whatever arises.
As you continue asking,
Perhaps your answer begins to deepen and simplify.
Perhaps it's a longing for love,
Presence,
Acceptance,
Freedom.
When you recognize what you are most deeply longing for in this moment,
Surrendering to that longing wakefully.
Saying yes to it.
Allowing it to fill your body.
Fill your body out to the edges of your skin.
What is your experience when you inhabit your deepest longing?
What are you allowing yourself to awaken to?
And then closing this quote from Pema Troodran.
You are the sky.
Everything else is just weather.
