Welcome to a moment of mindfulness where you can allow the mind and body to rest.
Begin to find a comfortable seat.
Allow the arms and hands to rest naturally in the lap.
Let the gaze wander around the space that you are in.
Become fully present with where you are.
Take in the physical world around you.
What can you see?
Slowly let the gaze land on something that is soothing to the eye.
Something that makes you feel safe,
Calm,
Grounded in this moment.
When you feel ready,
Let the eyes drift shut.
Begin to shift your attention inwards.
You have arrived.
You are here.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Exhale through the mouth.
Another deep breath in.
Exhale with a sigh.
Take one more deep cleansing breath.
Exhale,
Let it go.
Soften the shoulders away from the ears.
Release the tension between the eyebrows.
Unclench the jaw.
You have arrived.
You are here.
Allow the steady rhythm of your breath to slow down your thoughts.
Focus on each inhale and each exhale.
Anchor yourself in this moment with each breath.
You are exactly where you need to be.
Slowly begin to bring movement back into the fingers and toes.
Lick the lips.
Take a roll of the shoulders up and down the back.
As you feel ready,
Slowly letting the eyes drift open.
Take in your surroundings.
Take in this moment.
And thank yourself for a moment of mindfulness.
