Transcript

Welcome to a moment of mindfulness.

While providing you a sense of grounding and stability,

Begin to find a comfortable seat,

Preferably with the feet touching the earth.

Let the hands rest in the lap,

Palms facing up.

When you're ready,

Take a soft gaze down towards the ground.

See and feel the ground beneath your feet.

Slowly let the eyes drift shut.

Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

Settle into the feeling of the body,

A steady rhythm of the breath.

Bring to your mind's eye the image of the floor beneath you.

See the foundation that you are seated on.

What's beneath that?

Soil,

Rocks,

And roots.

Weaving their way through the earth.

Begin to visualize roots growing through the soles of the feet.

Feel these roots as an extension of your body,

Reaching down into the rich soil.

Become rooted deeper into your body in this moment.

With each breath,

See the roots growing deeper into the earth,

Towards the very core.

Draw up the energy and stability of the earth through these roots.

Feel grounded energy rise up through your legs and into the body.

Become as strong and sturdy as nature itself.

Resilient amongst the chaos.

Come back to the breath and find an inhale.

Exhale for four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Take a gentle pause.

Inhale.

Exhale for four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Take a gentle pause.

Deep breath in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

Affirm your presence in this moment by repeating in your mind or out loud,

I am grounded.

I am at peace.

Begin to notice the feeling of the earth beneath your feet.

Slowly wiggle the toes and when you're ready,

Slowly letting the eyes drift open.

Take in your surroundings and carry this grounded energy with you throughout the rest of your day.

And thank yourself for a moment of mindfulness.
