Grounding meditation.
Becoming the mountain.
Just beginning by arriving here in this moment.
Coming back into your body with your awareness.
Leaving behind all thoughts and all that it took to get here and take this time for you.
And in a sitting or a laying position.
Or you can even do this standing with your bare feet on the earth.
Just taking a deep breath into your belly.
And out.
And another deep breath into your belly.
Relaxing your shoulders.
And breathe out.
And a third deep breath into your belly.
And out.
And feeling your body dropping down and becoming a little heavier.
And with your eyes gently closed down.
Imagining that your whole body has become a vast and towering and unmovable mountain.
And now just breathing in this feeling and image of yourself in this solidness.
This sturdiness and strength.
Seeing yourself as this mountain in as much detail as you like.
You are the mountain.
Grounded,
Resilient and impervious to any and all happenings around you.
And you can see the top of your mountain now.
And how you spread yourself out from your peak down to your mighty solid base.
And with your awareness you can reach down even deeper from your base.
Deep down with your mountains growing roots.
Down into the earth's crust through the many layers of the earth's hard mantle.
So deep down that your roots have come thousands of kilometres to the very core and centre of the earth.
And here you find a sphere of golden source energy.
Your roots gently wrap around and connect with this energy nourishing you from within.
So just taking in this sense of connection,
Deep rootedness and stillness.
You are the mountain,
Grounded and unmovable by your very nature.
And just staying with this image for a few more breaths,
Really allowing it to seep deep into your bones.
And when you are ready,
Taking this grounded sense of solidness and rootedness with you as you allow yourself to listen to the sounds around you.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and gently open your eyes.
