This meditation is designed to help you let go of regret. After a body scan aiming at releasing tensions found in the body, I will guide you toward converting your regret into a valuable lesson and say goodbye to that past that doesn't serve you.

Meditation to let go of regrets.

Find a restful position,

Sitting or laying down,

And close your eyes.

Let's start by taking three deep breaths.

Breathe in slowly,

And hold a second,

And breathe out,

Letting all tensions in your body melt away.

One more time.

Deep breath in,

Hold,

And breathe out.

Final one,

Big breath in,

Hold,

And breathe out.

Now scan your body,

And take note of what you're feeling.

Do you still feel any tensions in your belly,

Your torso,

Your legs or shoulders?

What about your arms?

Or your head?

Maybe it's your neck.

If there are any spots of tensions,

I want you on your next inhale to breathe into that spot and feel it soften.

And as you slowly breathe out,

Feel them being released.

You are welcome to repeat that cycle if you feel the tension is still there.

Now bring your attention on your breath.

In and out.

Nothing matters but your breath.

Notice how your lungs expand and contract when you breathe in.

Feel your chest rise in and then falling.

Nothing matters but your chest rising up and falling down.

Now picture yourself holding a box.

In this box are the regrets of your past.

You know you cannot change what is in the box,

Just as you cannot change what happened in the past.

However you can learn from your experiences.

Forgive yourself for what you may have done in the past or what you may have not done.

Accept yourself wholly and completely.

Give yourself permission to feel differently.

More present.

More loving.

Stronger.

You can also move on from the past.

You do not need to carry around the heavy box full of regrets.

You do not need to be burdened by what has already happened.

Picture yourself setting down the box.

You close the lid,

Sealing the regrets inside.

You may take a second to thank those regrets for making you the person you are today.

Now turn your back on the box and walk away.

Feel the lightness of your body.

You are no longer carrying around regrets.

Appreciate that freedom.

Yes,

You are free now.

Free to choose joy.

Free.

The past doesn't define your present nor your future.

You are at peace with the past,

For it made you who you are today.

A strong person who can move forward with joy.

Feel the lightness in your heart expanding with every breath you take throughout your body.

This is your new reality.

Free to start a fresh new chapter.

Stay in this sensation of lightness and appreciation of the present for as long as you need.

When you'll be ready,

Open your eyes and go forth with no regrets.

Have a wonderful new chapter.
