I'm Annabelle and I'm with Anna today and we will be guiding you through your yoga nidra and sound healing practice to help you fall asleep.
We are so grateful you are here today choosing to spend your time with us.
In Sanskrit nidra means to sleep.
Today in this practice we are wanting to completely relax into a deep restorative and healing sleep.
It's important for me to say that if you do not fall asleep during this,
That's okay.
It's more important that you're giving yourself this time to relax than it is to achieve an end goal or to gain sleep out of this.
It's more about creating this time for yourself.
Within us we all have the solutions to our own problems and by practicing yoga nidra regularly,
Perhaps even if it's just before you do fall asleep,
You'll notice that each time you are able to relax more.
Each time you will be invited deeper into the place that we can only go to when we are asleep where our true potential lies for healing and renewing the body.
Let's awaken this together.
So go ahead and get comfortable.
I would suggest for this practice to get comfortable in your bed.
If you haven't already,
Start to prepare to go to sleep.
Make sure your teeth are brushed and you're comfortable in a place that you would like to sleep for the rest of the evening.
Adjust your body in any way before we begin.
It is best to lie on your back,
But again just choose what is comfortable for you.
Just begin to notice your body and where it is lying on the bed,

Accept that some parts of your body are holding on to more stress than others.

Bring an intention to your mind that you would like to fall asleep to tonight.
Whatever fits in your life today.
Repeat this intention in your mind a few times.
Remember to let go as much as you can of what's happening next,

The only thing for you to do right now is to follow my voice.

Which are little white puffs.
Across the sky.
Most beautiful of them all is the bright brilliant beaming patches of clear blue.
You focus on these and feel the weight lift from your shoulders.
You breathe deeply and feel yourself relax.
You are relaxed.
Slowly all the clouds in the sky are one by one blown away by a brisk wind.
With enchanting energy.
You watch the clouds disappear over the horizons and as you do your mind clears.
You feel a great sense of relief and deep relaxation as they disappear.
Nothing to worry about.
Nothing to think about.
Nothing to do.
Only blissful and clear open blue is in your mind now.
