Hello dear ones,
This is Aria.
And I'd like to invite you into.
.
.
A guided rest experience.
This is an opportunity to press the pause button.
On your busy day.
And invite your mind.
Your heart.
Your body.
And your spirit.
Into a moment of quiet.
And rest.
So I invite you to become as comfortable.
As you can and as you want to.
In this moment.
Embrace an opportunity to feel supported.
And held.
Whether you're sitting down or lying down.
Take this opportunity to ask if there might be a way for you to get even better.
Three percent.
More comfortable.
To feel just fine.
A little bit more supported.
And take a few cleansing breaths.
These breaths might not be the deepest,
You take all day.
But I encourage you to find a way to.
Allow the breath.
To shake off the busyness of the day.
To create a little space.
You may want to.
.
.
Move your shoulders.
Shake your arms out.
Wiggle your bum a little.
Just a signal to your body.
That we're letting go.
Of our to-do lists and our activities just for this moment.
But it's time to.
.
.
Settle in.
And as you continue to breathe in your own time.
In your own rhythm.
Allow your breath to soften the edges of your attention.
To Soften the edges.
Of your day.
And Imagine for a moment that you are surrounded by a vast field.
Of beautiful.
Supportive.
Kind energy.
That this energy is flowing.
And moving all around you.
And that it is moving.
In a similar rhythm to your breath.
As you inhale.
The energy.
Moves around you in one direction.
And as you exhale.
It flows back in the other.
A gentle,
Kind.
Caressing.
And forth.
With the rhythm of your breath.
Now I invite you to imagine that beneath you,
The surface that you are sitting or lying on,
Is made of warm,
Beautiful sand.
And that sand is.
.
.
Holding you.
In fact,
As you imagine it.
Your body sinks just a little deeper.
Just enough.
To be held.
And to feel the embrace and support of the sand beneath you.
As if it has turned into the most comfortable chair or bed that you could possibly imagine.
And you may notice.
That in your imagination.
The energy.
Flowing and moving around you.
Has become like water.
That you are beneath the sea.
Not so deep that it is dark.
In fact,
There is beautiful golden light.
Shining down through the blue-green.
All around you.
And off in the distance just a little bit.
They are beautiful.
Underwater plants growing.
They grow up.
Towards the surface.
But they're only about as tall as you are.
They are long,
Slender stalks.
With beautiful clusters.
Fingers and leaves.
At their top.
And you may notice that as you continue to breathe in,
And out.
These stalks,
These plants are flowing.
One way.
With your inhale.
And the other.
With your exhale.
Spend a moment simply watching the plants move.
With the water.
Moving one way with your inhale.
The other way with your exhale.
If your mind wants to continue racing with thoughts.
Don't fade it.
Your mind was designed.
It's natural.
But perhaps you could imagine that your thoughts become like fish.
Moving through the water.
Beautiful and colorful.
They swim this way and that.
Simply become part of this beautiful seascape.
Something that you can watch.
Naming,
Or interacting with.
So as you breathe.
.
.
And these.
Beautiful plants move one way.
The flow of water.
And then as you exhale,
They move the other.
Your thoughts may also be swimming around.
And just let them be there.
You can notice them and say,
Those are my thoughts in the shape of those fish.
Aren't they beautiful?
And just watch them.
You might also notice that above you.
You can see that.
The surface of the ocean.
Is.
And.
.
.
Undulating in waves.
And you might imagine that those are your emotions.
That any feelings you have from the day.
Are just up there.
Moving around.
Doing what they naturally do.
Forming.
And then softening and dissolving again into the ocean.
And you can notice that too.
You can see the shapes and patterns.
The way the light moves and the foam.
Burbles and then dissolves.
And you can notice that.
Watching them from below.
Is a unique experience.
A perspective you don't normally get to have.
And isn't that a lovely thing?
Perhaps you can.
Watch the waves with curiosity.
And say,
Huh.
That's what my emotions look like from down here.
So just take a minute or two.
And Allow your breath.
To Move with the water.
Allow that movement to show itself through the movement of the plant.
Moving one way.
On your inhale.
And the other way.
On your exhale.
If thoughts come up.
Imagine them as fish.
And if feelings begin to rise.
Allow them to dance on the surface.
Far above you.
Just keep breathing.
And resting.
Under the sea.
I invite you now to take a few deep breaths.
Slightly deeper breaths.
With the intention.
That this practice is coming to a close.
But as you breathe in.
Allow the sense of rest.
To sink into the space.
Between your cells as if you could absorb the water.
Through your skin.
And as you do so,
Say thank you.
Extend some gratitude into the experience itself.
As well as You gave yourself a beautiful gift here.
In simply choosing to rest and press pause on the day.
So.
.
.
Begin to bring some movement into your body.
Sense where it is that you are sitting or lying down.
Bringing your awareness back into the room.
You might want to stretch and bend.
Move your body in a way that re-enlivens it.
Come on back gently.
Allowing the rest to.
.
.
Flow over.
Into your day.
Whatever it is that.
Is still waiting for you.
At least a little longer.
Hope you enjoyed.
This guided rest.
And I will see you next time.
Blessings,
Dear one.
