Transcript

Good evening.

It's time to go to sleep.

So let yourself come into your resting place,

Your bed,

Or wherever it is that you wish to sleep now,

Or wherever it is you wish to take a deep rest,

Let yourself relax completely and surrender yourself totally into that place.

Let your body become heavy and drop deeply.

Feel all your muscles relaxing,

Feel all your muscles dissolving around your bones.

Let go any gripping or tensing in any part of your body.

Just notice which part of your body is the least relaxed now.

And with a long out-breath,

Breathe through that part of your body and completely dissolve and release all the tension that you're holding.

Breathe in.

Know that there is nothing,

Nothing to attend to.

Let your mind soften completely.

Let your mind dissolve the way you let your muscles dissolve around your bones.

One more out-breath to release any remaining tension that you are holding in your body.

Feeling your body become even heavier upon your bed,

Resting deeply like a sack of rice.

There is no effort to hold.

There is nothing to hold on to.

Just floating down into a state of comfortable rest and ease.

Let go your tendency to watch or look in upon your experience.

Let go the watcher and just rest in the feeling of becoming more and more deeply relaxed.

Every nerve in your body releasing,

Every muscle in your body softening.

Let your attention drift.

You do not need to fix your attention anywhere.

It drifts quietly and freely within that feeling of being deeply relaxed.

Flowing,

Drifting like a gentle current or wind through your body taking you more and more deeply into relaxation and peace.

Turning inwards,

Turning away from the world we leave behind as we enter deeply into natural rest into deep and peaceful sleep.

Your breath is completely free,

As free as a gentle wind.

And drift and float gently into your heart.

The last traces of the world you've left behind,

Calming down like ripples on the surface of a pool of water.

What a relief.

Total rest.

If there is any trace of tension or disturbance in your heart,

Gently breathe through it and let it go.

There is nothing to hold on to and no holding on.

Resting,

Settling deeply down into your heart.

As your heart becomes still and quiet.

Floating,

Sinking deeply,

Deeply into rest.

Far removed,

Totally safe,

Utter peace and rest.

Your breath free.

Settling,

Settling,

Quiet and still.

As you drop deeper away through your heart into the clear light of rest.

Natural rest.

Just let go.

Merging completely,

Entering totally,

Deep,

Deep,

Peaceful rest.

Sinking deeply,

Peaceful rest.

Leave everything to rest naturally.

Falling away and gone.

This quiet place within you.

Has never been disturbed.

Untouchable.

Utter peace.

Total rest.

Any trace of your mind.

Tired,

Tired,

Tired.

Coming to rest and fading away.

Letting go completely.

Coming to rest.

Sounds come and go,

Like winds gently passing.

While you rest deeply asleep.

Deeply asleep.
