This is a meditation for being with what is here,
Right now,
To feel what is moving through you and to meet yourself with kindness.
You may wish to close your eyes if that feels safe,
Or simply soften your gaze,
Arriving here,
Letting your body land,
Nothing to change,
Nothing to fix.
Just allowing what is here,
To be here.
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And a slightly longer,
Softer exhale through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in,
Letting the body soften.
Noticing how you feel.
And whatever is here,
See if you can simply observe it,
Whether it's tension,
Sadness or even numbness.
See if you can let it be here.
You might place one hand on your heart space,
Offering some comfort and warmth to yourself,
And silently repeating these words,
I am here,
I am allowed to feel this,
Being here,
Just as you are.
I know how heavy it can feel at times,
Especially when our feelings are dismissed or ignored by those around us.
And if that's something that resonates for you,
Please know,
You deserve to be met with kindness and compassion.
Rest here,
In this truth.
Take a final breath in,
And a longer exhale out.
When you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes,
Meeting yourself here with kindness.
