Hello,
It's Aisha.
Welcome to this five-minute yoga nidra,
Perfect for when you don't have much time but would like to take a moment to pause,
De-stress and unwind.
Might you take this time to make sure that you are comfortable,
Feeling fully supported by the ground or your bed,
As you lie flat on the back,
If that position is available to you.
Then you can start to close down the eyes,
Taking a deep breath in through the nose,
And a slow exhale out the mouth.
Feel yourself sinking deeper into the support beneath you,
Inviting in the intention,
I am resting and relaxing.
Bring your awareness to the muscles in your face,
The left and right eye,
Left and right cheek,
The entire face,
Back of the head,
The neck,
Both shoulders,
Elbows,
The front and back of both hands,
The left and right thumb,
All four fingers on the left and right side,
Both hands,
Wrists,
Elbows,
Shoulders,
The entire back,
Chest,
Tummy,
Down to the navel,
Left and right hip,
The entire pelvis,
The entire pelvis,
The thighs,
Knees,
Both ankles and feet,
All five toes on the left,
All five toes on the right.
The entire body is now fully relaxed.
Breathe deep and savour this yogic sleep.
With every inhale,
Feel your body getting more relaxed,
And with every exhale,
Sinking a little deeper into the support beneath you.
Inhale,
Relax.
Exhale,
Sinking deep.
Inhale,
Relax.
Exhale,
Sink deep.
Body relaxing,
Recharging,
Surrendering,
Letting go.
Simply breathe and let yourself be.
Be in this moment.
Savour this moment.
Inhaling slowly and exhaling completely.
As you prepare to bring life back into the body,
Take a deep breath in through the nose and a slow exhale out the mouth.
From there,
Wiggling fingers and toes,
Taking a gentle stretch,
Taking a moment here to savour these last few moments in the practice.
Bathing in this peaceful pocket of calm,
Knowing that you can carry this feeling with you throughout the day.
Thank you so much for allowing me to guide you through this practice.
I'm wishing you an amazing day and I look forward to practicing with you again soon.
