Today we're going to focus on a heart chakra guided meditation.

So first just finding a place where you can sit comfortably,

Preferably upright.

You can fold your legs in front of you,

Or perhaps sit on a pillow.

And just begin by taking a few deep inhalations and exhale out slowly and completely.

So as you're inhaling,

Feeling your ribcage expand,

Feeling your belly expand,

Really taking in as much air as you can.

Maybe even just holding that for a moment or two before slowly exhaling out.

Once you've completed the exhalation,

See if you can hold for just a moment or two before inhaling again.

Be mindful as you take these deep breaths that you're not accumulating tension in the neck or in your shoulders.

As you're doing this breath,

Feel free to close your eyes and start to relax the muscles in your face.

Relax the tiny muscles around your eyes,

Create space in between your eyebrows.

See if you can soften your shoulders and your hands are resting calmly on your lap.

Taking another deep breath in,

Feeling the belly expand,

Feeling the ribs expand.

As you exhale,

Move your attention to your heart and imagine an emerald green chakra.

The green glow of the chakra spreads from your heart to fill your chest first and then expands out through the rest of your body.

Throughout the rest of this meditation,

You may want to take your right hand and place it just slightly left of center over your heart.

And really as you're breathing,

Feel like you're breathing in and out through your heart,

Really tuning into the sensations that you feel and just noticing if anything comes up for you.

I want you to imagine standing under a large tree,

A huge green canopy spreading in all directions.

The wind is rustling through the bright green leaves and making a gentle flute-like sound.

You begin to climb the tree and as you move up,

You pass thick branches covered with green.

Even the sunlight finds it hard to filter through the green leaves that provide a cool soothing shade to you.

Once you reach the top of the tree,

You get a panoramic view of the surroundings.

In every direction you look,

There's a sea of never-ending green,

A sea of lush vegetation.

You can sense that the tree is nurturing and nourishing you just as it provides strength and support and safety to all of its leaves.

You feel supported here.

You feel safe here.

As you breathe in through your heart,

You now see through our heart chakra spinning and gaining strength.

As it spins faster,

A green light is washing over you and it pervades every cell,

Every pore in your body.

You can feel this vibrant green energy.

As you're breathing deeply,

You can feel the energy funneling into your heart,

Just bursting forth with fresh green leaves.

Maybe as you're breathing on your inhalation,

You say to yourself,

I am worthy of receiving love.

With each exhalation,

You say,

I have the capacity to give abundant love.

Go ahead and continue this mantra for the next few breaths.

One more time.

Before you begin descending from the tree,

Allow yourself just a little bit more time here to bask in the sunlight,

Bask in the glow,

The strength,

The support,

And the safety of this beautiful tree.

As you begin to climb down from the top,

You feel the love and the care of the tree,

Its branches supporting you on your way down.

Once you make it to the ground,

You look back up at the tree and you feel one with it.

Your heart is full of love and admiration.

If your hand isn't already over your heart,

Go ahead and place your right hand just left of center to your chest where your heart is.

Let's finish this meditation with a few more deep inhalations,

Breathing in gratitude.

As you exhale out,

Exhaling out love,

Having a great capacity for love,

To give love as well as to receive love.

As you're ready,

Go ahead and open your eyes.

Let's go of it.
