Despite your best efforts to catch a few minutes before they open their eyes and call your name.
I invite you to close your eyes and take a deep breath.
This moment is just for you,
Allowing the surface beneath you to hold you calmly,
Welcome another deep breath in.
Tell yourself something you need to hear before your day begins.
Only you know what is in your heart,
Words of encouragement,
Support,
Positivity.
Speak kindly to yourself like you would to a friend.
Allow a sense of ease to wash over you,
No matter how demanding or overwhelming your day may become.
You always have the power of your breath with you to return to yourself,
To return to those words that you needed to hear.
Save this little reminder to find those pockets of peace,
Those moments of gratitude and presence will make all the difference.
