Take a moment to come into a comfortable position.

Take any adjustments to ensure your comfort and ease.

Allow your eyes to soften closed.

And allow yourself to become present.

Start to feel the rise and fall of your breathing.

Take a big inhale.

Feel the belly and chest expand.

And with a long exhale,

Let the whole body relax.

Take another deep inhale through the nose.

And a long exhale through the nose.

Continue to breathe deeply.

And with your next few breaths,

Set the intention to create space within you.

For the joy of your own being to come alive.

Many people are alive but never touch the true joy of living.

Each day we are engaged in a miracle that we don't often recognize.

The beauty of a sunset.

Colorful flowers.

A blue sky.

Our beating heart.

The wonder of our breathing.

This life is a miracle.

It's filled with joy and happiness.

But only if you're present and aware will you find it.

To experience the joy of living,

We must learn to be present.

We must be open and available to seeing the beauty of life within us and around us each day.

So take a deep breath and repeat these words silently within.

Breathing in,

I know that I am alive.

And breathing out,

I experience the joy of living.

Within you is an infinite well of inspiration and wonder.

True happiness arises spontaneously when we are connected to its source within us.

It isn't found in some other time or place.

It's not in some future or a better version of you or your life.

Happiness is right here.

It's within you.

It is you.

This joy is your natural state of being.

It is the nature of the self.

Your true self is always with you,

Therefore so is your joy.

You can't attain it or become it as you already are it.

The work is simply to remove the obstacles that don't allow you to see it.

To let go of the attachments,

The expectations and judgments that cloud you from seeing the bliss of your own being.

Dear one,

You yourself are the joy you've been searching for.

So let's connect to this joy right now.

Return your attention to your breathing.

Feel the breath as it rises and falls at the level of the heart.

Inviting some deeper and fuller breaths into the heart center.

Start to feel the wonder of your breathing.

Feel the miracle of your existence alive in each breath.

Feel the simple joy of breathing.

Continue to breathe deeply and allow each conscious breath to awaken the experience of joy within you.

Breathing in,

Experience the ecstasy of your aliveness.

And breathing out,

Feel the bliss of your own being.

Continue to breathe as you allow this joy to come alive within you and fill your heart.

And with your next breaths,

Feel or imagine this joy expanding out through your entire body.

With each breath,

Allow joy to enliven each part of you.

Feel this joy come alive in your arms and hands.

Feel joy swirling through your belly.

Feel joy expand down your legs to your toes.

Feel it rise up to your head,

Filling your face with a spontaneous smile.

Keep breathing and awakening this joy into each part of you.

Until every cell of your being is dancing.

With the joy of life.

Now allow the breath to become quiet and calm.

And see if you could become so quiet,

So still,

That you could feel your heart beating.

Can you hear the drum of your heart?

Can you feel the crescendos of your pulse?

The melody of your breathing?

Feel this symphony of life dancing within you.

Enjoy its beauty,

Its wonder.

Feel the joy of your aliveness.

Inside your beating heart.

Now release your attention on your heart.

And simply focus on this feeling of vibrant joy.

Notice how joy feels.

In your body.

In your mind.

In your soul.

Take one more deep and joyous inhale through your nose.

And a long exhale through the nose.

Remember that this joy is with you in every moment.

You're free to tune into it at any time,

In the midst of any circumstance.

Invite this awareness of inner happiness.

This feeling of causeless joy.
