Hello everyone,

Blessed Yule and welcome to this guided meditation for Yule.

You can use this on the day of Yule or leading up to Yule as it is very short,

Um,

And,

Uh,

But hopefully powerful nonetheless.

So go ahead and find yourself in a comfortable position.

Really find yourself grounded in your seat,

Connecting with the earth below,

Or if you're laying down,

Whatever part of you is touching the floor,

Really ground into that earth energy.

And as this is the darkest time of the year,

The longest night and the shortest day,

We're going to focus on protection,

Protection for getting you through this time,

The darkest time,

Keeping that light a flame within you so that you feel always hopeful,

Always keeping that spark of joy alive,

Even in times that can sometimes for some people feel a bit more cold,

A bit more,

Um,

Hopeless perhaps.

But in this meditation,

We're focusing on hope because anytime we reach the darkest point,

That means it's right before the light will begin to grow again.

And I personally actually find this time to be very inspiring because I love the times where we're really encouraged to go inward.

And as the earth darkens,

That is certainly the case.

As nights grow longer,

I like to spend more time having candles lit,

Avoiding screens and focusing on my inner light.

So I want you to tap into that inner light yourself.

And hopefully that description of Yule helped inspire you a little bit for the longest nights of the year.

But tap into that inner light,

That inner flame within you.

I want you to feel comforted by the darkness around you as you have your eyes closed.

Make sure your eyes are closed and just sit comfortably with the darkness.

Allow the darkness to wrap you up like a warm blanket,

Like a cup of hot chocolate warming you from the inside.

Got that flame still burning within you.

And you accept the dark time,

You accept the time to be inward,

To be cozy,

To be cared for by yourself and by the universe.

Recognizing the blanket of darkness around you,

But also recognizing that within the blanket of darkness of the universe,

There are also the little pinpricks of light from all of the stars.

That is the blanket that you wear and those lights will grow and grow throughout the year.

And you always carry that light within you.

So now we're going to focus on creating a sphere of protection around yourself to help you get through safely the coldest time,

The darkest time.

I want you to consider three spheres as well as yourself around yourself.

Three spheres that you are within that are a part of you and that you're also creating a sphere of protection around.

So you can imagine this protection as a golden sphere of light around your body.

Now I want you to expand that to include your family members,

Include your loved ones,

Your chosen family.

Whatever that means to you,

I want you to include them in your sphere of golden light and imagine them sitting with you,

Connecting to them on a soul level and expanding your protective golden light to include them.

I want you to also expand your golden light so that it creates a sphere all around your home.

Think about your home where you feel the most safe,

The most grounded,

The home where you allow yourself to be and rest during this time.

Let that golden sphere of protective light surround and protect your home.

Now I want you to allow that sphere of golden light to grow and include your community.

This can be your friendships,

Your loved ones that are friends,

Your community members,

Your neighbors.

Think about this time where we can reach out to each other,

Can be generous to those in need,

Lend a helping hand.

Please remember that this golden light started from that little flickering flame inside of you and so you really have to focus on self-care and rest before you're able to extend out and help others around you.

So make that a priority and that is what's going to help you take the best care of your community members and your family members and your friends as well.

So in this time of generosity,

Be generous with yourself and take some final moments really visualizing this golden sphere of protective light coming from within,

Around yourself,

Around your family,

Around your home and around your community.

And I want you to send gratitude to this golden sphere of light knowing that you will be able to get through the darkest time of the year.

You'll be able to use this time to actually fuel yourself and inspire yourself and care for yourself so that as the sun grows,

Your energy is ready to grow as well and sustain you throughout the year.

You can bring yourself back to the room that you're in,

Back to the seat,

The groundedness that you began this meditation with.

Bring yourself to that present moment.
