For this meditation,

It's most important to find the very best and most comfortable position for your body.

So take a moment to really honor that.

To find the most comfortable spot for you,

Shift your weight around,

Really see what feels best.

And when you've found your position,

Go ahead and relax into it.

Take a moment to notice your breath.

See what it's doing,

Where it's landing,

What its natural rhythm is.

Now visualize yourself sitting on a beach,

Watching the waves roll in and out.

Start to sync up your breath with the waves.

As a wave rolls in,

So does your breath.

Slowly filling up your body.

And as the wave rolls out,

Your breath does as well,

Releasing.

Any tension in your body or in your breath dissolves into the waves,

Just like salt in the salt water.

Let it go a little bit each time as your breath goes in and out,

Honoring the natural rhythm of things,

The natural rhythm of the waves and your breath,

Unified.

Let your body relax into this rhythm and find comfort in it.

Now place your hands on your belly.

Notice any sensations that you feel internally or externally.

Here is your belly at today.

What have you noticed?

Imagine any sensations that you feel rolling in and out,

Just like the waves.

It rolls over your body.

What temperature is the water?

Now as you're holding your belly,

Go ahead and send love to your baby.

Imagine this love enveloping your belly like warm sun rays on the beach.

Make a wish for happiness,

For health,

For peace,

For your baby.

You can speak this wish aloud or you can speak it in your mind.

Imagine that these words wash over your belly like salt water waves.

Imagine that as your words wash over your belly,

They soak into your skin just like the salt water.

Take a moment to appreciate the miracle that is taking place within you.

The incredible things your body has been able to do without you even being conscious of them.

Send gratitude to your body.

Imagine that gratitude soaking into your skin like the warm sun rays on the beach.

Let that gratitude fill you up and warm you up like you're giving your whole body a hug with your mind.

Now take a moment to focus within and repeat these affirmations.

You can repeat them aloud or in your mind.

I am centered in my body.

I trust my body.

My body accomplishes incredible things.

I am centered in my body.

I trust my body.

My body accomplishes incredible things.

I am centered in my body.

I trust my body.

My body accomplishes incredible things.

I am centered in my body.

I trust my body.

My body accomplishes incredible things.

I am centered in my body.

I trust my body.

My body accomplishes incredible things.

Throughout this time,

This very special time of your life,

Whenever you feel discomfort,

Practice imagining the sensations washing over you like a wave.

Be present with and follow the sensations.

Follow the wave as it climbs,

As it peaks,

And as it gets smaller and returns to the ocean.

Practice breathing with the wave.

This visualization is always there for you,

Always ready to assist you in feeling any kind of pain or discomfort.

Now feel your belly one last time.

Send a wish of health and happiness and love to your baby.

And send another wave of gratitude toward your body.

Really feel that love and warmth and trust.

Your body is so strong and is ready to take on so much in the upcoming weeks or months or days.

Now bring your focus back to the visualization of the ocean.

Watch the waves roll in and out.

And again,

See if you can sync up your breathing with the waves rolling in,

Rolling out.

Feel the sand between your toes,

Perhaps the water coming up.

Feel at peace,

At ease.

Because no matter what,

The waves keep rolling.

They come and go.

Now bring your attention back to the space that you're in,

Back to the present moment.

Feeling strong,

Confident,

And at ease.
