Welcome to this heart opening meditation by The Soul Gym.
Our capacity to love is our greatest gift.
And today we're going to step into our heart center and really embody this feeling of love.
This wonderful ability that we have to love others so that we can open ourselves up to receiving more love and abundance in our lives.
I'd like you to start by just getting really comfortable and when you're ready close your eyes.
We're going to take a few deep breaths just to ground us in this moment.
As you breathe I want you to follow the air as it comes in through your nose or mouth and follow it down,
Down your throat,
Into your lungs and then back out again.
You may wish to imagine that this breath has a color,
Maybe it's blue or yellow.
Just allow yourself to imagine what color that might be and then follow that colorful breath in through your nose or mouth all the way down into your lung,
Filling up your lung.
Noticing your chest rise and fall again as this colorful air is released.
And we're just going to take a couple more breaths like this.
Breathing in,
Allowing your lungs to be filled.
I'd like you to bring your attention to your heart center,
To the center of your chest.
And I want you to imagine there's a spotlight of your awareness just shining into the center of your chest.
You may also want to place one or both of your hands onto your heart then continue to breathe in and out with the focus being on where you've placed your hand.
Now I want you to bring to mind one person that you care deeply about.
Picture their face right in front of you and I want you to think about what it is about them that makes you smile.
What is it that's unique to them that makes them so special in your life?
Just really focus on this feeling of love and care towards them.
How do they make your life better?
What are you grateful to them for?
You might want to smile if that feels natural.
As you allow this feeling of love and appreciation to flood into your body,
What is it about them that lights you up?
Now just breathe into this feeling.
Allow this feeling of love to engulf you.
You have this amazing capacity to feel love,
To love others,
To care for them.
And it's what makes you so beautiful,
So powerful,
So strong.
Remember,
You are love and you are loved.
Now I want you to bring a second person to mind.
Someone else you care deeply about.
Just imagine their face.
Imagine their face.
Imagine them standing right in front.
How do you feel about them?
How do they make you feel?
What is beautiful about them?
How do they make your life?
Just notice how this feels in your body and allow this feeling of love and joy to overcome.
Where do you feel this feeling?
Where is it strongest in your body?
Just notice.
And whilst you continue to breathe,
Allow this feeling of love for this person to flow through your body.
Remembering that this wonderful,
Beautiful capacity to care for others is your superpower.
And now you may want to bring a third person to mind or alternatively,
You can imagine yourself standing in the center of a circle surrounded by all of the people that you care about.
All of the people that make your life better.
All of the people that have touched you in some way.
Touched your life and who you are.
Incredibly grateful for.
Take a moment,
Take a look around you.
There is so much love here.
Now really feel it.
Feel it in your body.
Allow the love to overcome.
Just let go.
Crack your heart wide open and allow yourself to fully feel this.
I want you to take a moment and thank yourself for allowing yourself to love so deeply.
Now see if you can turn this love inwards.
Can you love yourself with the same energy that you love others?
Remember,
This is who you are.
You are just pure love.
Now to end this practice,
I want you to turn to each person in your circle and thank them for being in your life.
And I want you to turn to yourself and once again,
Thank yourself.
Now whenever you're ready and feel free to stay in this circle for as long as you want.
But whenever you feel complete,
Open your eyes and have a beautiful day.
