Here is a short meditation to help you be more aware of the words you use in your day-to-day life.

As you may have heard,

The truth is in the middle way,

It is never in extremes.

And the mind likes to divide things into dualities,

Into good and bad,

Right and wrong,

Comparisons.

The mind likes to make things important,

Urgent,

Which inevitably creates a sense of stress and anxiety and takes us away from the peace of the present moment.

And there are some specific words that we use that are not in tune with our true nature.

Some of these words include must,

I must do this,

I must have this.

In awareness,

There are no musts,

Everything simply is.

If it happens,

It happens,

If it doesn't,

It doesn't,

It's all okay.

A similar word is need to or have to.

Again,

In truth,

There are no needs,

Nothing has to happen,

It is all unfolding.

And these words tend to create a feeling of rushing,

It needs to happen now.

And in truth,

There is no rush,

There is no need to hurry.

Another thing that the mind likes to do,

As I said,

Was to create comparisons between you and others,

Between different things.

So if you find yourself comparing anything,

Making it better or worse,

Or more or less,

Any type of comparisons,

Just think about it beforehand,

Think how true it is in experience.

And really,

All of these words are reminders to come back to what is true.

As soon as you catch yourself using them,

Just notice,

Ah,

I am feeling a rush,

I am feeling the need to compare,

Maybe I am experiencing some kind of tension underneath these words.

And of course,

Pronouns such as I,

You,

He,

She,

We,

And so on,

Create a sense of separation between me here and another or others over there.

And with these and any other words,

We cannot completely stop using them,

But we can use them consciously.

We can say that it is just to point to something else,

Which is still within awareness,

It is still here in the very presence that we are.

It is just over there compared to the body.

So as such,

We can use all of these words,

Sometimes even be in a rush,

Or compare our preferences with someone else's,

But without losing ourself,

Without losing our presence.

Thank you for listening,

I hope you find this helpful.

I wish you a wonderful day ahead,

And bye bye for now.
