To begin,

Take the palms face down on your knees with the thumb and the index finger touching.

Begin to deepen your breath.

Feel the sitting bones really ground into the mat or whatever you're sitting on and just lean the upper body back in space.

Begin to start with the first chakra,

Feeling that rootedness,

That connectedness,

Sitting bones grounding down into the earth,

The water of the second chakra,

The fire in the belly,

And then manifesting now as just air,

Lightness,

Joy,

And being.

Bring your awareness to the center of your heart.

Visualize a glowing light the size of an orange or maybe as big as a grapefruit in the center of your chest.

Slow down your breath with an inhale,

Exhaling all the way.

This time inhaling from your seat to your heart center,

Just send energy through the lower chakras up into the heart,

And as you exhale just feel that golden ball in the center of the chest shine brighter.

Breathing in,

Tailbone to heart center,

Energy comes up.

Exhaling,

Let that light in the heart glow in every direction.

A few more on your own,

Breathing energy up,

Igniting it from your heart center,

Feeling that glow spread out from the center of the chest to the ribs ahead of and behind you.

With your steady breath,

With your attention,

You are growing the space of light in your heart.

Shift your energy now to the sky above you.

See the most radiant,

Beautiful dawn that you've ever seen.

The sky is pink and purple,

Yellow and gold,

Every color.

Just begin to feel this beautiful dawn,

Or maybe for you it's a sunset,

This lit up sky melting down through the crown of your head,

Traveling down through the top of the spine,

And melding with this golden glow of light at your heart center.

Every in-breath,

Travel your breath up,

So heart to crown of head to the universe.

And every out-breath,

Take a piece of that golden sky back down with you,

Glowing and growing the ball of light at the heart center.

Every inhale,

Breathe in,

Heart to crown of head and above.

Every out-breath,

Take a piece of that beautiful sky back with you down into your heart space.

A few more times on your own.

Over the course of the next few breaths,

See if you can find the crown chakra at the top of the head just so open that this beautiful sky is just pulsing down into you,

Pulsing down into your heart.

So there's a connection there,

Even without you consciously thinking about it.

You are receiving golden light from above.

And as energy,

As matter comes up from the ground through the first four chakras,

It also turns into a golden,

Beautiful fire,

A glow,

A radiance at the center of the heart.

Over the next few breaths,

See if you can pull energy up from the earth and down from the sky,

Activating the lower chakras and the upper chakras to just fuse golden light into your heart center.

Feel this golden light in the chest grow and grow until it's as wide as your rib cage,

Maybe as wide as your arms.

Taking your attention to the skin on your biceps,

On your forearms.

Send the light into that place so it's expanding,

Taking the whole upper body inside its orb.

Love is the binding force that holds our world together.

Our physical world and our mental spiritual world.

This is a powerful vortex where you can channel energy,

Universal intelligence from above and meld it with what's ever going on in your life right now,

The emotions from the lower chakras.

Feel in this space your ability to unite the body and the mind.

Without awareness in this space,

Thoughts rush straight up to your head and become a story,

Become stress,

Become self-centeredness.

Feel this golden light grow wider and wider until it extends beyond your body.

You are just in an orb of golden light.

This is where compassion resides,

For yourself and for others.

If you think of the first chakra as a place that pulls in a place of solidarity,

A place of stability and strength,

This fourth chakra,

This golden light where you are now is all about expansion,

Expanding out ethereal,

Airy quality.

It demands our attention to lead our lives from this place.

This open-heartedness requires trust.

It requires gratitude,

Forgiveness,

Gratefulness.

With those qualities,

Gratitude,

Trust,

Forgiveness,

Gratefulness into your light and watch it expand.

Feel it from within,

Expanding around you more and more so it's maybe as big as the whole room in which you're sitting.

If the mind begins to wander,

You can just chant those words to yourself,

Trust,

Gratitude,

Forgiveness,

Gratefulness,

Or even state them as affirmations,

I trust,

I am grateful,

I forgive.

Thank you.

Draw this light back in towards you now.

This golden orb that's expanded so beautifully,

Just begin to call it gently back in as if your voice was just riding on a gentle breeze or wind.

With every exhale,

Feel the light,

Not contract,

But just unite closer and closer to your body.

And closer and closer back into your heart.

Feel the ball of light around your skin,

Around your arms.

And it's a beautiful airy energy coming back into the center of the chest,

Until once again it's the size of an orange or grapefruit.

Bring all your attention to the quality of this light now.

Noticing that it may feel different or perhaps even better than it did when you started,

Now that you've expanded out and brought light back in with you from the outside.

Breathe gratitude into this space.

See if you can tap into this sense of the lower and upper chakras in perfect balance and harmony.

Keeping the eyes closed,

Just bring the left palm over the chest,

Over the heart space.

Press the left palm into the chest.

And then take the right palm on top of the left,

Just physically connecting,

Pushing the hands into this space.

Keep the eyes closed and from here we'll deepen the breath.

So inhale deeply.

Feel the chest broaden,

Rib cage expand,

Chest lifts into the palms.

Exhale,

Just get taller.

Inhale,

Breathe the chest into the palms.

Widen your breathing so your back gets wider horizontally.

Exhaling as you need to,

Three more like this,

Just taking really long,

Slow,

Deep breaths.

Inflating the space underneath your palms,

Rib cage widens.

Exhaling all the way.

Last four breaths.

Take our last breath together.

So inhale,

Inflate the heart,

The chest,

The back body.

You can open the mouth to exhale.

Again,

Breathing in.

Open the mouth to breathe out.

The last one,

Breathing in.

Open the mouth,

Breathe out.

Take the hands down towards the floor.

Breathe in.

And as you exhale,

You can just fold gently forward.

And as you come up,

If you like,

You can say Namaste.

Namaste.
