Hello my loves,
My name is Chris and welcome back to another guided meditation.
In today's practice we'll be grounding ourselves with the healing energy of the earth.
This practice will help you release any old stagnant energy from the past year and make space for fresh new intentions as we step into this new year.
Grounding is a powerful way to reconnect with your body and the earth,
To calm your mind and to set yourself up for a balance and a purposeful year ahead.
Let's begin our practice.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable seat or perhaps lying down.
Allow yourself maybe to close your eyes gently and take a nice deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely and exhale slowly,
Maybe perhaps open the mouth,
Releasing any tension in your body.
Do that two more times,
Deep breath in and open the mouth,
Let it out,
Allow yourself with each breath to let go of any of those distractions and allow yourself to just fully arrive in this moment.
One more time,
Deep breath in,
Open the mouth,
Let it out.
As you breathe deeply here,
Perhaps you take a moment to imagine that roots are growing down from the base of your spine or any parts of the body that are touching the floor and these roots are reaching deep into the earth beneath you.
With every breath that you take,
These roots grow deeper and deeper,
Expanding through the soil,
Moving past the layers of the earth up until you get to its core.
Once you reach the core,
Perhaps you feel the solid,
Stable energy of the earth supporting you as your roots anchor you firmly to the ground.
Perhaps with each inhale,
You just draw up that nurturing energy of the earth as it fills your body with its warmth,
Peace and strength.
Allow yourself to feel the earth's energy moving through you,
Grounding you more deeply with each breath.
As you breathe here,
You feel safe,
You're steady and you feel fully supported by the earth beneath you.
As you continue to breathe deeply here,
Let's begin to bring your awareness to any energy or tension you might be carrying from the past year.
Perhaps any stress,
Worries,
Negativity,
Any of those negative thought patterns,
Those limitations you might hold on yourself,
Those physical obstacles or barriers,
Those cords,
Those attachments,
Anything that may still be lingering within you.
Once you bring your awareness to that,
Perhaps with each exhale here now,
You can gently release these energies,
Letting them flow down your roots deep into the earth.
Perhaps you visualize the earth taking these energies and just transmuting them into this pure and this healing light.
Notice any colors,
Any sensations you might feel.
And as you breathe,
Perhaps you feel yourself becoming lighter and more at ease as any of that old energy is gently released and absorbed by the earth,
Making space for the new.
Now bring your awareness to your heart center and think about the intentions you want to set for this new year.
What dreams,
What goals or affirmations would you like to invite into your life?
I want you to visualize these intentions clearly in your mind,
In your mind's eye,
As if they are already unfolding for you.
I really want you to feel the energy of the earth rising through your roots now.
They're surrounding your intentions and they begin to amplify them with its own healing power.
Imagine this energy nurturing your intentions and helping them to grow stronger and vibrant.
Allow yourself to fully feel the excitement,
The peace and the possibilities of these intentions taking root deep,
Deep within you.
Now as we breathe deeply here,
Let's now affirm the energy you're calling into your life.
So perhaps you repeat after me silently or aloud.
Say to yourself,
I am grounded,
Calm and fully present in this moment.
Perhaps you say to yourself,
I release all that no longer serves me with the energy of the earth.
Perhaps you say to yourself,
I trust in the process of transformation and growth.
Maybe you say to yourself,
I am worthy of love,
Peace and abundance in the new year.
And finally,
You say to yourself,
I welcome new opportunities,
New energy and new beginnings with an open heart.
Wherever you're at,
Just let's take a deep breath in.
Drawing in the energy of the earth and your intentions for the new year.
And we'll feel them anchoring deep within your being.
Knowing that this energy will continue to support you throughout your journey and come back to this whenever you need,
As perhaps you slowly begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you.
Perhaps you wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
Whenever you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes and bring your hands to prayer at heart center.
