The Wisdom Of The Queen - Meditative Story
This track is halfway between fairytale and guided meditation. We follow a story of the Queen Regina reflecting on her life, when she was (in)authentic, controlling and at her best. What will you learn from her? This is the 5th in a 5-part series based on the 5 element system of Chinese Medicine, encouraging us to return to the natural world. Listening to previous meditations in the series is recommended but not required.

Hello and welcome to this meditation.
The Wisdom of the Queen is the final instalment in a five part series,
The Wisdom of Nature,
All written and performed by me,
Karishtina Ralokhlin of 5E Meditations.
These meditations are ideas which are inspired by the principles of Chinese medicine.
These principles are called the five elements or five element theory.
The ancient Chinese observed the patterns,
Cycles and nature,
Observed our organs and the types of emotions we have and over many thousands of years worth of observations refined and connected these things into five categories,
Five elements that interrelate and connect with one another.
The fifth of these five elements is called metal element which this meditation is inspired by.
Metal element in Chinese medicine is associated with the energy of old age,
Evening,
The skies or heavens,
Royalty and the last of the leaves falling off the trees in late autumn.
Organs associated with metal element are the lungs,
The skin,
The large intestine and the nose.
The emotion associated with metal element is grief.
This does translate as a literal grief we feel when someone we love has died but it can also mean loss or fear of loss at its most basic level.
Metal element is the territory in which the Chinese place regret,
Idealism,
Authenticity,
Authority,
Pride,
Perfectionism and self-criticism.
Positive qualities of metal element are foresight,
Refinement,
Graciousness and an authoritative nature and sensitivity.
It is with these qualities in mind that I have written a meditative story about a queen who is nearing the end of her life and is reflecting on the things she has learnt,
Mainly in regards to the aforementioned metal element qualities.
If there is an idea that you don't understand in this meditation,
Listen and let it be.
If you don't understand,
Keep the track on a loop.
Through repetition the idea will sink into your subconscious mind and will be understood innately over time.
The previous meditation was focused on the previous elements.
You don't need to have listened to the other four to listen to this one but if you'd like to,
Please check my website whose address I will mention later.
All meditations are set in a place called the Kingdom.
We begin in the forest in nature before moving into the village and then into the castle of the queen where the series ends.
These five elements also relate to our personalities as well.
And lastly close your eyes and begin to breathe.
Slowly and deeply let each breath carry you deeper and deeper into yourself.
When you breathe in let the breath flood your chest and when you breathe out let any worries or cares vanish into the ether.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Not far from the village is a castle and in this castle sits the queen Regina.
Today on this rainy day she's thinking in her palace courtyard Regina is older than the mother whiter of hair more ethereal of skin and nature death death is nearby her long reign and her long life are close to ending so she spends the last of her days in her chapel in her palace she prays she reflects and thinks on what has happened to her and what she has learned before she returns to the river to be carried out to sea and die.
Having thought on some of this she walks now to the chapel to listen and appreciate the beauty of the fine voices in her choir.
She's prompted with these thoughts of the wisdom Queen Regina has discovered that done and done does not exist in regard to life purposes and destiny even with death nearby she is still ever evolving towards it relearning and refining herself in the same trials in different disguises.
In her rule Regina has learned that respect leads to listening to others and that self-respect leads to listening to the self.
Regina knows that when she has been aware and sensitive to the mysteries of life given space to it space to what she cannot fathom and know in her logical mind she has given space to the best possible outcome.
Regina knows that when she's been aware and sensitive to the mysteries of life given space to it space to what she cannot fathom and know in her logical mind she has given space to the best possible outcome.
Regina understands that awareness observation and perspective all induce and encourage emotional healing.
Power for Regina has never meant power over her kingdom or her lords and ladies power for Regina is self-respect.
Regina respects the unknown and in doing so finds that it is like being carried by a river.
Regina appreciates that loss enriches life for when she has lost she can see what she had gained and once she saw that her regrets were born away.
Regina then was happy with how her life has become the shoulds the coulds the woulds became irrelevant she then began to cherish what she had and what will be.
Beauty in all shapes and forms for Regina inspires and encourages mystery and a great connection with the unknown.
In Regina's experience self-respect means not compromising on the rules and codes she has made for herself it's sacred for Regina to respect.
When Regina takes time to grieve possibilities that never happened possibilities that were important to her identity to how she wanted to live her life the queen was undergoing a refinement process.
Grief loss brings Regina closer to what's important closer to knowing what cannot be left unsaid or undone.
This evolves Regina into wisdom.
Impermanence brings and has brought mystery into Regina's life.
Regina has noticed that once she was authentic her life began to meander why she believes that authenticity made a sudden change in her eternal self so now her outer life no longer exists.
Now to find a match between interior and exterior a young Regina had to be lost she had to explore and wander in the dark after all she reflects now the time before birth is not a place of light it's always darkest before the dawn.
When Regina notices her breath she sees a phase.
The darkness of the self increases the chances of Regina's rest and how restorative it will Regina knows that the impermanence of life the presence of death helps refine and improve her.
Honouring is powerful for Regina it allows her to accept what can't be understood at the moment without the frustration of query when she honours her mind can rest.
Regina understands that guilt leads to regret and regret will then lead to an irrational fear a mistrust of her life and the nature of life itself.
If Regina ever felt guilty in the past she took stock some perspective she was able to view things from all angles and then she recovered and healed from her guilt.
This should succeed guilt.
Regina was once a very controlling queen a tyrant even but then one of her courtiers told her that she wanted to control the unknown the queen should try controlling the sea instead her tyrannical ways tied Regina quickly once they tired her enough and the exhaustion that grew her fear of the unknown she found that the only solution was to let go then there was peace rest and the deepest sense of freedom.
Letting go helped feed Regina's intuition.
Regina has realised that for intuition to work it needs honour and respect not love the aforementioned qualities give it space to work and the trust as well the same respect is required for Regina's subconscious mind to speak to her and help her.
When Regina found beauty it helped assuage her fears because beauty stuns and when Regina was stunned by beauty she could only let go.
When Regina has not seen herself as enough and was deep into her self-doubt and criticism it only brought a sea of troubles.
Regina's standards values and principle work like skin a barrier for her tender heart and organs simple and clear.
When Regina has remained loyal to her standards and did not settle for less eventually life's magic flowed to her the simplicity of having a standard allowed great depth and meaning to colour Regina's life.
Authenticity has created for Regina freedom and wisdom.
Regina has learnt that perfection and letting go are the same things just as evanescence and beauty are.
Regina knows that the process of perfecting oneself long term is a process of refinement which truly means process of letting go then she became thoroughly profound in her wisdom.
At a royal feast for some foreign nobility Regina ate an oyster and found a pearl inside.
She thought of the phrase pearls of wisdom and knew that these pearls are dirt and grit refined over a long period of time.
When Regina was a tyrant her enthusiasm for control created a storm of chaos.
Once she recovered from the storm she refined herself by reflecting that control at a surface level seems to be a desire to command things as they are when actually it's a desire to command the impossible imperceptible the unknown in the unseen all the same it was destructive for Regina.
When Regina was a child she was playing in river she accidentally slipped and fell and was thrashing about in the water struggling for air something told her to pause and stop and she floated to the top of river saving her own life did river tell her to stop in any case the cessation of her struggle was caused by letting go and trusting that she would be carried by river when she was close to death.
When Regina first respected honored and surrendered to the unknown she didn't know that it would be the beginning of a peaceful life.
Regina old in age is closer in listening to the wisdom of her ancestors the wisdom of her family river and all the kings and queens that came before her she is closer to this than she ever was in youth.
Autumn is Regina's favorite season the one that is most like herself it is her favorite because of the beauty it gives how in autumn she feels closer to the divine closer to what is inviolably sacred to her and closer to the mysteries of life.
Regina has found that timing is what it supports us not luck or anything else.
When Regina was the tyrant her enticement and arrogance did not feed her wisdom they only fed her fear and caused her outbursts of control.
Clarity and authenticity has prospered so much in Regina's life that she can clearly see into the unknown.
The last thought the queen has is this courage cannot happen without authenticity authenticity inspires courage.
I'll leave you now to enjoy the last moments of the music with the queen Regina.
