Running from the noise can add to the anxiety. Accept the noise, and allow it to bring you ease. Allow your mind to find focus. Take a moment for yourself. To allow yourself to be relaxed, calm. In this mindfulness meditation, you will breathe, and listen to the noise around you.

Transcript

Find a comfortable seated position.

Let your eyes close gently.

As you adjust to the comfort,

Allowing your body to relax,

Listen to your surroundings.

What can you hear?

If there is nothing outside of my voice in this music,

How loud is the silence?

Or are your thoughts drowning out your environment?

Take a deep breath,

Inhaling through your nose and out of your mouth.

Again.

Again.

Those thoughts that keep finding their way back,

Allow them to be as they are.

If need be,

Put them into buckets.

Buckets on a shelf that you'll get back to later.

Instead of those thoughts in those buckets on that shelf,

Focus on the noise around you.

Or the silence.

And breathe with these.

So beautiful and very effective for a short meditation. I’ll try some longer ones from this instructor. Thank you!
