Let's do a gratitude practice together.
One that you can do every day if you'd like,
Or when you just want to remember that you are whole and complete as you are.
Take a moment to arrive.
Letting your body settle.
You can soften your gaze or close your eyes.
There's nothing to do here in this moment.
There's nowhere to get to.
Begin by noticing your breath.
Watching as your breath moves into your body.
Watching as the breath moves out of your body.
In this practice We are very simply looking at what it means to be grateful.
And tuning into that energy in a very purposeful way.
Bring to mind one thing that you feel grateful for.
It can be something that you remember from your day or from your life in general.
Let it be real and let it be felt.
So feel it in your heart space.
Feel it in your body.
And with that thing that you're grateful for,
Ask yourself this really simple question.
How did this make me feel?
So move into that felt sense.
If you can't name an emotion,
Just notice how you felt in your body.
Maybe there is an openness,
A warmth,
An expansion.
So rather than looking at the story of it,
Feel it as an embodied experience.
Let yourself connect it.
With a sensation in your body.
And now that you're connected in with that sensation of gratitude,
Ask yourself.
How did I contribute to this?
So what role did I play?
In creating it,
Receiving it,
Allowing it.
Everything good in our lives.
Comes from a space of allowing.
A space of receiving,
A space of participating in.
For cultivating the conditions for,
Even in the smallest way,
So recognize your unique role in it.
And then pause here for a moment.
Feeling the fullness of that experience.
Feeling the energy of gratitude.
Take another deep breath in through the nose.
Audible exhale at the most.
And bring to mind another thing that you are grateful for.
It could be from your day or it could be from your life in general.
It could even be a person.
And we'll repeat the same questions.
Feeling that in your body.
What did that feel like?
Source that sensation right now in your body.
That energy of gratitude.
And then ask yourself,
How did I contribute to this?
What role did you play?
How did you receive?
How did you welcome in?
How did you co-create?
Feel it fully and allow that to be anchored in your body,
In your felt sense.
And once more.
A third thing.
Bring to mind something that you are grateful for.
Either from your day or from your life.
Bring it up in your mind's eye.
And then feel it in your body.
Notice the felt sensation.
Of gratitude in your body.
Really allow that sensation to grow.
To take root.
And then ask,
How did I contribute to this?
Did you welcome it in?
Did you co-create it?
And let that land in your body and in your mind.
Now letting all three of these come together.
Feel them in your body at the same time.
The sensation,
The felt sense of gratitude.
Of fullness,
Of wholeness.
Nothing missing.
And just breathe with it.
Gratitude is not something that you do it's something that you recall that you remember that you feel It's a recognition that in this moment,
There is already enough.
That you are already enough.
So there's nothing that you need to create more of.
Gratitude really is the energy of completion.
Of fullness,
Of wholeness.
And from this space,
Notice what might be available.
Not from needing,
Not from lack.
But from fullness.
From completion,
From possibility.
And let this be the place that you move from today.
Let this be where creation comes from.
Take one more full deep breath in through the nose.
Let it out with an audible exhale.
When you're ready,
Start to bring some movement back into your fingers.
Your body a little bit and open your eyes.
Stepping forward into the rest of your day in gratitude,
In appreciation.
In wholeness.
