Beat Insomnia and tension by following the words that you hear from both of us, allow your stresses and concerns to dissolve as you melt downwards from concentrating on areas of your body.

Transcript

Hello and welcome to this gentle and relaxing Reiki meditation.

My name is Christian and my name is Michelle.

Together we will guide you into a most tranquil state.

It doesn't matter if you fall asleep,

As your subconscious mind will hear all of the words that will encourage your mind and body to relax.

Relaxing is a choice.

In this moment I would like you to create a signal to your mind that you intend to find healing.

Inhaling deeply into your lungs,

Allow the air and the new oxygen to be absorbed for a few seconds before slowly exhaling.

Breathing in,

Absorb and slowly exhale.

You may have sensed a loosening in your neck,

Shoulders or back.

You can breathe naturally now as your signal has been sent.

Now closing your eyes,

Listen or feel the sensation of each inhalation and each exhalation settling you down further.

There's no need to do anything from this moment on,

Just follow the words that you will hear.

Behind your closed eyelids,

I'd like you to picture a short staircase.

There is a handle to hold onto and the stairs are covered with a thick,

Plush carpet.

There are 10 steps,

I will count down from 10 to 1,

And when I reach number 1,

You will be at the bottom.

Slowly and mindfully,

You begin to step down.

10 Feeling safe as you trust the journey that you are about to take.

9 Beginning to focus completely on the staircase and the steps that lead downwards.

8 Beginning to relax as you notice areas of your body starting to loosen.

7 The further downwards that you go,

The further away from any distractions.

6 Allowing any thoughts to pass as you focus on descending down the steps.

5 The acceptance of this journey is fully realized.

4 Your whole body has become very relaxed.

3 Each breath is now longer and deeper than before.

2 Any worries or concerns are now firmly left behind.

1 You have reached the bottom of the staircase.

Now in front of you is a door,

I would like you to open it and walk past its threshold.

Grabbing the handle,

You depress it and pull the door towards you.

Behind the door is a beautiful and serene garden.

I would like you to walk on through and experience its blissfulness.

Closing the door,

Your mind becomes quiet as you observe your surroundings of the greenery that is displayed.

Moving forward,

Soft,

Crisp green grass crunches under each footstep.

Each breath is easier and feels unrestricted.

Your movements are fluid and deliberate.

Gentle birdsong is distant within your hearing range as leaves waft and rustle in the warm breeze.

A lake nearby laps its tides against the banks,

Only adding to the ambience of this wonderful place.

The sky is red with hints of purple and an effervescent blue,

Left over from the previous few hours of sunshine.

The sun is setting,

But you feel a warm and comfortable heat from the remaining moments of this day.

Your head feels like it's being massaged by every sound which creates a chain of positive sensations to descend down your body.

Becoming calmer as you absorb the peace that you find,

Every muscle settles into a loosened version of itself.

In front of you is a bed,

It has a wooden frame,

Mainly oak with many swirls in its grain.

The deep mattress is plushly cushioned with soft materials as the light bedding sits on top.

Pillows sit against the headrest,

Plump and full of air.

I would like you to lie down on the bed in any position that makes you comfortable.

Now lying on the bed,

Take in the restful ambience of the sights and sounds around you.

Once again,

I'd like you to close your eyes.

I'm now going to count down from 10 to 1 once more,

And when I reach 1 you will be very relaxed,

Both in mind and in body.

You are very safe.

Everything about your surroundings is peaceful.

There are no surprises.

Your thinking only takes you to an even more blissful state.

Allow each thought to pass like a cloud in the sky blown by the breeze.

There is nothing to think about in this moment except the tranquility that you sense.

Each part of you is slowly and gently descending deep into the mattress.

Your attention is now on each longer breath cycle.

At this point you are ever more relaxed.

Feeling heavy from letting go of any worries and concerns.

You are beautifully relaxed.

Now lying still and with a sense of heaviness,

You will begin to scan your body.

As you observe each area,

You will also sense any blockages,

Interruptions in energy flow and any tension.

Looking at your toes,

If they are taut or tense,

Allow them to splay out and rest.

As you focus on this area,

Each toe begins to loosen.

You can feel any negative energies leaving each toe.

Now down to the bottoms and heels of your feet.

Scanning for anything that causes them to be tense or even warm,

Allow that heat and tension to dissipate or perhaps evaporate.

Now up to the tops of your feet,

Where you may now feel a tingling sensation.

Allow the tops of your feet to soften and become cooler.

As your feet descend slowly downwards from the relief,

Your attention turns to your ankles.

Scanning the circumference of each ankle,

They begin to let go of any weight that carried you today.

Your feet slowly droop down further into the mattress as your ankles realise their own resting posture.

Each ankle now soft and loose.

You turn your attention to your shins and calves now.

Working your way up,

Each muscle lengthens,

Allowing each leg to descend downwards to the soft surface beneath.

Slowly and surely,

Your body is finding its state of peace.

Each knee unlocks,

Giving your thighs the go ahead to rest in a natural way.

Up to your hips and pelvic area,

With each breath out,

Your buttocks and pelvis lower,

Being drained of any blocking influences.

Lower and lower you go.

Your pelvis to your toes are now fully relaxed.

Each slow breath brings stillness to your abdomen,

Your sides and rib cage.

Any anxieties begin to fade away,

Replaced with positive sensations instead.

With every rise and gentle lowering of your chest,

The deeper inhalations stretch your back and spine to a most comfortable place on the bed.

Becoming calmer and perhaps losing awareness now,

The tops of your arms rotate slowly to offer your shoulders and arms the comfort of the mattress.

Breathing deeper and more calmly now,

Both arms let go of any negative energies as you perhaps sense the energy leaving out from your fingers.

Each arm,

Forearm,

Wrist,

Hand and finger now delicately resting in their right full space beneath.

As your breath brings you back to your neck,

You feel the muscles in this area contract.

As your neck muscles become looser,

Your head heavily sinks down into the plush pillow.

Thinking no more,

As everything becomes automatic,

Each muscle on your face softens and the heaviness in your eyelids starts to lull you to a blissful place in your mind.

As you now scan your mind very much as an observer,

You begin to clear away any fog or mist that gets in the way of your thinking.

Use your intentions to move the fog out of your mind and into the atmosphere.

Slowly the fogginess is removed,

Slowly ascending upwards into the now night sky.

As the last of any blockages are cleared,

Your mind finds quietude,

Solace and peace.

Your body now lies resting in a very relaxed position on the soft bed.

With each natural breath,

You breathe your way into a positive image in your mind,

Envisioning,

Imagining and experiencing every positive aspect.

As you lie there,

Your body becomes heavier the more your mind is taken elsewhere.

The place you see in your mind can be anywhere,

Imagine every detail as if it were in front of you.

As you drift out and back into the images you see in your mind,

Your body becomes heavier and your mind becomes clearer.

There is no need to think about anything in this moment,

Except how at peace your inner self truly is.

Take a moment to appreciate this wonderful space in your mind and when you are ready,

You can come back,

Or if you want to,

You can fall asleep.

Life is infinite.

This was my 1st time of listening to this and I'm impressed. I have listened to one of Mr Thomas's meditations before and I've had the same result of it sending me to sleep even though I do have a very active mind. So thanks for sending me back to sleep again Mr Thomas.
