Tonight,

You will discover the self healing quality you have,

That resides in your mind.

You will attain a clear and focused image of your true self,

And begin to clear away any thoughts and feelings that keep you from the inner peace and self love that you should have for yourself.

In a moment,

You will be the lighthouse keeper of your own mind.

Each and every time you listen to this guided meditation,

There may be something different to reveal about your true self,

Or perhaps a new realisation about the direction in your life.

Making a comfortable space,

Rest down now as i guide you into a relaxing and mind opening awareness.

It doesn't matter if you drift off or fall asleep,

Just follow along the best you can.

And if you do float into sleep,

Your subconscious will automatically take over,

Hearing every positive word to bring out your true self.

You are in control at all times,

And the story is open to your own interpretation,

As you now close your eyes.

Standing in a heavy raincoat,

Looking out from the harbour,

The magnificent aura of a beacon shines so bright.

It is,

Of course,

A lighthouse,

But this is no ordinary lighthouse,

It is the light of life that shines in your own mind,

Spirit and soul.

Out to sea you look,

Pondering through the immense cloudy fog that illuminates from the light of the tower.

The harder you look out,

The less you observe.

In difficult or challenging times in our lives,

We mistake the idea of watching all around us,

Only to find that we must look inside our own self for the answers.

In such times,

We may feel the cold air,

The sensation of the stinging raindrops that pelt on our body,

Or anything that the weather may bring to be a distraction from what we should be seeing.

Instead,

I want you to be distracted no more.

You have it inside yourself to see through the fog,

To think in the noise of overthinking,

And to easily find peace from within.

The strong structure that reaches high up into the sky,

With its light that glows on the darkest of nights,

Is yours.

Go inside your own self now,

Walk up to the lighthouse,

And open the door.

Now inside,

Sheltered from the storm outside,

You ascend each step of this magnificent tower.

The quieter sounds of your own footsteps echo in this uncluttered space.

With each step up,

Your mind becomes more silent.

Now more focused on yourself,

And your every calming breath,

Your shoulders let go of any pent up tension,

Releasing it easily on every exhalation.

Your arms swaying freely,

Your chest untightening as more silent,

Focused thinking envelops your mind.

Now nearing the top of the lighthouse,

A door emits a bright light through the cracks of the frame.

Pulling the handle,

You enter this room of illumination.

Walking around the rotating lookout,

You hear the hum of the motors,

A peaceful and steady sound.

Looking beyond the mottled window panes,

The sea rolls in an upward and downward motion,

The white froth is seen and revealed in each flash of lightning.

You,

Feeling calm,

Are intrigued with what you see.

From this fresh perspective,

The storm outside doesn't affect you at all,

You feel no rain.

In the still air,

There is no wind,

And the sound is of a grand silent space,

For you to contemplate with ease.

Likening the lighthouse to your own mind,

You now understand that you can be peaceful,

Even if the outside world is perhaps turbulent.

Paying more attention as you look farther into the distance,

The light that shines across the sea reveals land.

Observe now,

How you can use your own observations and foresight to see beyond the storms that may lash every now and then in your life.

See the land ahead,

See past the obstacles that perhaps are clouding the vision of what you are trying to achieve.

Being still in this moment,

You see past the raindrops on the window,

That drizzle away hope,

You see the milestone past the obstacle of the rolling whitewash waves,

And you feel motivated by the light that shines your way forward.

Allow your mind and body to settle down even more,

As you envisage reaching that inner peace that now builds inside.

As you calmly breathe and daydream a more peaceful inner self,

Where your achievements are met,

And you are now content,

Content as can be,

Relax your shoulders some more.

Imagine now,

In front of the lighthouse,

You are in a boat,

Sailing towards the land that you saw from the beam of the lighthouse.

You are calm as you know you can make it to the other side.

As the wind blows your sails,

And you steer onwards,

Correcting your path,

You begin to enjoy the journey,

The freedom of being outside your comfort zone.

Through determination and persistence,

Comes the reward,

It is through the doing that you obtain your achievements,

And ultimately,

Inner peace.

Floating over each rhythmic wave,

You near your destination,

An island of abundance.

You can now see your island as the peaks of each high wave passes.

Holding on tight to your boat,

With motivation,

You steer more determined,

Willing the wind to blow your sails with more power.

Over each white crested wave,

You climb,

Then descend,

Until,

Calmness and silence.

Fades in.

The clouds from above shred away,

Revealing the stars of a dark night sky,

And the moon glowing once again.

The wind silences to a warm breeze,

As the temperature of the air rises slightly.

The once lashing ocean is now but a glistening body of water,

Reflecting the moons light in the small ripples that wander its surface.

Land is but a few moments away,

A beach at its forefront,

And the backdrop of tall palm and coconut trees.

Sailing into the shallow water,

You observe how clear the oceanic liquid is,

Noticing starfish,

Corals and various sea life below.

Coming ashore now,

Your boat now reaches the beach.

Setting your anchor down,

Scanning the area,

You step out into the warm water,

And head onto land with the warm breeze calming your face.

Walking onto the sand,

Your feet begin to dry,

From the warmth of each grain of sand absorbing the water.

As you take each step exploring this new place,

The feeling of relaxing sand under your feet sends a soothing feeling all the way up your body.

Relaxed now,

Calm and present,

You silently observe your surroundings,

You feel at peace within.

The calm waves that now lap the shore,

Mixed with the clean clear air of the night,

Begins to make you tired,

You have made it out of the storm.

Your validation comes from looking across the ocean to see the shining beacon of the lighthouse,

From a different perspective.

Having shifted your focus,

Your attention and your motivations,

You now think more clearly,

Are more relaxed,

And are content in being your true self.

Finding some driftwood,

Other loose branches and twigs lying around on the beach,

You pull out some matches from your pocket,

And make a warm campfire.

Looking out to sea again,

Appreciating your journey and where you are now,

You feel relief,

A calmness settles into you as you lay down next to the fire.

You are warm,

Safe and relaxed,

In mind and body.

As you begin to drift off,

Your face muscles relax deeply,

As you find peace in the soothing surroundings that you now lay.
