So let's start this morning with a lovely big deep breath signaling to your body that it's time to come into the present moment.
Taking another big deep breath,
Slightly slower and longer than usual and exhaling fully.
Feel the weight of your body in the chair,
Or on the bed,
Or on the floor and just notice how your body feels right now.
Just noticing,
Not judging.
And just allow your shoulders to soften a little bit.
Roll them,
If that feels good.
Relax your jaw.
And anywhere else you hold tension in your body.
So just taking that moment to arrive fully here,
Right now in this perfect moment.
And now I'm going to invite you to stand up slowly and stand with your feet hip distance apart,
Your legs loose and begin to roll your shoulders and start to gently shake out your arms.
Shaking your hands,
Rolling your wrists your arms fully to the shoulders loosening up that upper body and now loosening your knees.
Let your legs bounce a little bit softly and if you can,
Start to shake out your legs,
One leg at a time.
So from the hip,
Moving your leg bending it at the knee and shaking it in whatever way feels good.
Rolling your ankles or your ankle and one leg and then when you're ready,
Moving on to the other leg.
Don't force anything,
Just all softly and gently loosening up the body.
Just come to your torso or your mid-body and start to move gently your body swaying it,
Rolling your hips,
Twisting your hips,
Whatever feels right.
Imagine any tension or emotional residue starting to break up and lift away from the body.
Just imagine it like dust when you shake out a carpet or a rug and now move your whole body in whatever way you're called to do so.
Let this be intuitive movement so you could sway like a tree in the wind and just do whatever movement and shaking feels right.
We're letting go of any built-up tension,
Any built-up energy any emotional energy that needs to leave.
Releasing.
Letting go.
Letting it all shift away from the body.
Remembering to breathe as you do this.
And now you can slowly return to your seat but just notice the difference in your body from a couple of minutes ago.
Does it feel more alive,
More alert?
And just now settling your body,
Taking a nice big deep breath and taking a few breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth and just as your body settles see what comes to mind.
Is there anything you've been carrying over the past week?
Is there stress?
Frustration?
Maybe a heaviness?
Don't spend too much time analyzing just if you feel it arise,
Acknowledge that it's there.
And now with every in-breath imagine drawing in fresh,
Clean energy like beautiful fresh air coming in an open window and with every out-breath imagine releasing any of that heaviness or stress or frustration.
Let it out of your body because it no longer serves you.
And you can picture this release as mist rising from the grass rising from deep inside you leaving your body with each exhale.
So breathing in that fresh energy and exhaling what no longer serves you.
Inhaling,
Receiving light exhaling,
Letting go.
Each exhale is a soft but deliberate release.
And if there's any emotion there just notice it and imagine it leaving like the mist.
Just continue the same process for a couple of minutes.
Inhaling fresh light exhaling,
Allowing that emotion to lift.
Now returning to your natural breath just notice that stillness around you.
You're feeling lighter and calmer and allow that stillness to settle in to your heart to your belly to your mind.
And let's commit to holding this stillness with us throughout the day returning to it whenever big emotions arrive not judging them but just remembering we can return to this stillness with the breath.
So taking a final big deep breath in and exhaling and have a beautiful inner day.
