Welcome to this meditation.
Let go.
This is your time to release what no longer serves you.
Tension in the body,
Thoughts in the mind and weight in the spirit so you can relax and rest deeply and peacefully.
Close your eyes,
Take a slow gentle breath in and when you exhale let go.
Bring awareness to your head,
Feel the muscles around your forehead smooth and soften.
Release the tiny movements around your eyes.
Let your jaw unclench,
Your tongue rest and your throat relax.
Now focus on your thoughts,
Whatever you've been holding on to today.
Conversations,
Worries,
Unfinished tasks.
Allow them to drift away like clouds in a wide open sky.
You don't need to chase after them,
You don't need to cling to them,
You can simply let them go.
Notice your neck and shoulders,
They often carry the weight of the day.
Feel that weight melting away now,
Dispersing into the space around you.
Bring attention to your chest,
Feel the steady rhythm of your breathing.
With every exhale imagine a door opening,
A door that releases all the tension and heaviness.
Now focus on your arms and hands,
Allow your arms to rest comfortably at your sides,
Your hands relaxed,
Open and free.
Bring your attention to your stomach and core.
This is often a place where emotions linger.
Breathe into this area and when you exhale let any knots or tightness completely dissolve.
Feel a sense of ease spreading through your whole middle.
Now notice your hips,
Let them sink deeper into the surface supporting you.
Any lingering tension softens,
Dispersing away.
Down into your legs,
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Your calves.
Let go of the effort of standing,
Walking.
Finally your feet,
Feel them soften with all tension melting away.
Visualize that release spreading outward like gentle ripples flowing in every direction.
Your whole body now feels light,
Clear and still.
Take another deep breath in and as you breathe out softly say to yourself I let go.
You are clear,
You are calm,
You are free.
Rest here,
There's nothing more to do.
Simply let go and drift peacefully.
