This is a short but incredibly powerful meditation that I use often. It is so easy to become distracted and lose focus on what matters most. This meditation will help not only bring you into the moment but also to value the moment. This meditation is part of the One-Minute Matters meditations.

Hi friends and welcome to the One Minute Matters meditations.

You know when you're just starting out in meditation the idea of sitting for 10 or 20 minutes can seem overwhelming.

These one minute meditations have been designed to not only give you a taste of meditation but the truth is that these one minute meditations actually make a big difference.

And today we're going to do one of my favorite and most used meditations.

It's called one less.

And in this meditation you become aware of the moment that you're in and you acknowledge that you have one less of these moments.

Now this might sound a bit morbid to you but trust me it helps you to value each moment.

And so let's do this practice together.

We're going to start off by taking a deep breath and holding it in for the count of four.

So let's do this together.

Breathe in two three four and then exhale for the count of four one two three four.

Now take a moment to just become aware of your body.

If you're sitting in a seat feel the pressure of your back against the chair your bum against the seat your feet on the floor and then tell yourself I have one less of these moments.

And then once again we're going to breathe in for the count of four.

Let's do that together.

One two three four and then breathe out two three four.

And there we have it.

Another one minute meditation.

Now I use this meditation often especially as I sit with my kids or my wife.

You see it changes my perspective.

It changes my vibe and helps me to value the moment.
