Welcome,
Dear one.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down,
Somewhere you feel safe to soften.
Close your eyes if that feels good,
Or lower your gaze to a gentle point of focus.
Let this be a sacred pause,
A return to your body,
A return to the earth beneath you,
A return to the wisdom within.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
A full breath in,
And a slow sighing exhale out.
Begin to feel the support beneath you,
Whether it's a chair,
The floor,
Or the earth herself.
Let your body become heavier with each breath,
As if you're being held,
Because you are.
The earth holds us in countless ways.
She offers us the ground beneath our feet,
Solid,
Steady,
And unwavering.
She nourishes us through the food we eat,
The water we drink,
The air we breathe.
She welcomes our rest,
Our roots,
Our rhythms.
With every step you've ever taken,
She has said,
I've got you.
And beneath that,
There's something more.
Beneath the soil lies memory,
The footsteps of your ancestors echo in the land.
You are not alone.
You walk with those who came before you,
Those who endured,
Who healed,
Who dreamed of you.
And they too are held by this same earth.
The same wind kissed their faces.
The same moon lit their path.
The same soil received their tears and their joy.
Let's set an intention together.
May this time be a homecoming.
May I feel grounded,
Safe,
And nourished.
May I remember that I belong to this earth,
And she belongs to me.
We begin with a breath.
Gently inhale for four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold for four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale for six.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Pause.
Repeat once more.
Inhale for four.
Hold for four.
One,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale for six.
Feel your body responding,
Slowing down,
Softening into presence.
Now bring your awareness to the base of your spine,
Your tailbone,
Your root.
Imagine it growing roots.
Just like a tree.
These roots move down through the floor,
Through layers of stone and soil,
Down into the deep belly of the earth.
With each breath,
Your roots go stronger,
Wider,
Deeper.
You are angering into the Great Mother.
Pachamama,
Gaia,
The ancient earth who has held you since the beginning.
With each inhale,
Imagine drawing her strength up through your roots.
Stability,
Nourishment,
Stillness.
Let her energy rise into your body,
Up into your feet.
Into your legs,
Through your hips and belly,
Into your chest,
Your arms,
Your heart.
Feel the earth filling you.
Solid,
Steady,
Unshakable.
Now affirm softly,
In your mind or aloud,
I belong.
The earth supports me.
I trust in her rhythm.
With every breath,
I come home to myself.
Now imagine yourself in a sacred forest.
The sun filters through the ancient trees.
You're walking barefoot on rich,
Dark soil.
Soft moss cushions your steps.
With every inhale,
Breathe in the scent of pine,
Cedar,
And damp earth.
With every exhale,
Your shoulders relax,
Your jaw releases,
Your heart opens a little more.
This is your sanctuary.
Here you are free to rest,
To remember,
To receive.
Let the earth's wisdom infuse you.
Slowly return to the rhythm of your breath.
Feel the support beneath you.
Feel your rootedness,
How deeply you belong.
You may wish to bring one hand to your heart,
And one to your heart.
And one to your belly.
Offer yourself a final affirmation.
As you walk forward from this moment,
The earth walks with you.
Always beneath your feet.
Always within your breath.
And your ancestors walk with you too.
Their strength lives in your bones.
Their resilience moves through your breath.
Their love blossoms into your becoming.
You are part of an unbroken lineage of survivors,
Healers,
Dreamers,
And earth keepers.
You are the living prayer of those who came before.
And as you root more deeply into the earth,
You root more deeply into them.
So walk gently,
Dear one.
Stand tall.
And carry this grounded energy within you.
Into your day,
Your life,
Your path.
