Hello,

My name is Cy Sorenson,

And today I invite you to join me on a journey to take a vacation from your current stresses and worries.

We will be using vivid imagery and sounds to create an immersive,

Comforting environment for you to explore the beauty of a forest in the United States Northeast.

Let's get started by getting into a comfortable,

Neutral position.

Give yourself a moment to settle in.

If you're finding it difficult to relax and be present,

Give yourself grace and time.

There's no need to rush.

Let go of the tension in your eyebrows.

Feel the muscles in your face soften and relax.

Release the tension in your jaw.

Breathe in deeply and consciously.

Feel the oxygen filling your lungs.

Feel the tension in your muscles melt away as you exhale.

Notice the gentle rise and fall of your stomach as you breathe.

Let your shoulders relax,

Your arms feel heavy,

And now your legs.

Take a deep breath in,

And picture yourself in the middle of a forest full of pine and colorful maple trees.

The forest is alive with the sounds of birds.

You hear the gentle flow of water in the creek next to you.

There's a chill in the autumn air as it rustles the leaves.

Breathe in and let yourself connect with the forest.

As you exhale,

Allow yourself to feel grounded.

Take a look around and identify all of the colors in the forest.

Golds,

Reds,

Greens,

Blues.

As you take in all the colors,

You spot a large orange maple leaf on the ground next to your feet.

You look ahead and see a path through the trees.

You begin to wander down the path with a sense of calm and wonder.

The path runs along the creek,

Giving you a view of the light flinting off of the surface.

With each step taking you further into the forest,

You feel more relaxed,

Calm,

And at peace.

You breathe in deeply and slowly,

Savoring the scent of pine being kicked up from under your feet.

As you walk,

You notice the creek's path winding in front of you.

Up ahead,

There's a simple but beautiful bridge.

You pause once you reach the bridge,

Feeling gratitude for those who've traveled this path before you and built it.

Allow the gratitude to wash over you as you cross the bridge.

As your journey through the forest continues,

You take note of the different plants.

There are gnarled bushes twisting their branches together.

Small maple and pine trees.

You see a brilliant flash of red landing in a tree above you.

You squint to see what it is before hearing the telltale call of a cardinal.

The song reminds you that this is your time,

Your getaway.

This moment was made for you.

You continue your journey down the path,

Taking nice,

Long,

Deep breaths as you move.

You reach the destination you didn't know you were headed towards.

A clearing in the forest,

With a blanket set up for you to rest on.

You gently brush away the leaves that have fallen on the blanket and sit down.

You take a deep breath in and feel the calm,

The stillness.

Feel yourself relax and rest.

This is the calm moment you were looking for.

Breathe in and embrace the moment.

Let the moment soothe you,

Recharge you.

Taking a moment for yourself is vitally important.

And you've done just that.

You can come back to this place whenever you like.

This is your vacation spot,

For you to explore and find peace.

When you're ready,

Slowly bring yourself back to your usual level of alertness and awareness.

Keep with you the feeling of calm and relaxation,

Feeling ready to return to your day.

Feel energy in your toes and fingers.

Wiggle them gently and begin to stretch your muscles.

Open your eyes and become fully alert,

Refreshed,

And filled with energy.
