It's okay to be tired.

It's okay to rest.

It's okay to be restless too.

It's okay if you sleep.

And it's okay if you don't.

It's okay if you think a lot.

And it's okay if you don't.

It's okay if you're anxious.

It's okay if you doubt.

It's okay if you can't stop reliving that embarrassing moment from your past.

It's okay if you neglected to call someone today.

It's okay if your bank balance is low.

It's okay if you think it's not okay that your bank balance is low.

It's okay if your bank balance is high too.

And it's okay if that brings all kinds of other obligations.

It's okay if you want to shave your head and run off to the monastery.

And it's okay if you never follow through on that.

It's okay if you don't practice meditation as much as you used to.

And it's okay if your mind wanders when you do.

It's okay if no one else understands why you practice.

It's okay if they tease you even.

And it's okay if they never practice themselves.

It's okay if you desire.

It's okay if you desire to not desire.

It's okay if the same song plays over and over in your head.

It's okay if the neighbor's gate is banging.

It's okay if yours is too.

It's okay if the TV's too loud in the other room.

It's okay if you forgot to turn the computer off.

It's okay if you don't have milk for breakfast.

It's okay if you had too much caffeine today.

It's okay if you're slow at work tomorrow.

It's okay if you're waiting for someone to get in touch.

And it's okay if they never do.

It's okay if you don't like your job.

It's okay if you do.

It's okay if you'd rather sit at home in your pants all day.

It's okay if your dog knows.

It's okay if you don't take your dog for walks as often as they'd like.

It's okay if you're not fit.

It's okay if you eat too much.

It's okay if it's not okay that you eat too much.

It's okay if nothing's okay.

It's okay if you think I'm making no sense.

It's just okay.

Why?

It doesn't matter.

And that's okay.

this is a gem of a talk. I often do so much spiritual bypassing trying to make myself feel OK when I can simply pause and say whatever I’m feeling is OK. Thank you for keeping it simple (I have a brain that can over complicate everything lol) 😊🥰🤪😊🥰🤪😊🥰🤪

whelp shut it down that’s the greatest teaching ever said. Rumi’s field without the padantic language or trancendecene. My 6 year ego death spiritual awakening near death burnout just took a burnout bath i’m gonna take my pants off and play a video game again. Huge thanks man, just great.

I've done similar meditations for myself and found it helpful, but sometimes it makes a big difference to hear it from outside. I particularly appreciate the inclusion of it being ok to not be ok.

Thanks loved it. ❤️ Can you make one of these for ADHD people too? It’s ok that you can’t find your keys and left the butter in the laundry room and talked too much to the new person that you met without letting them get a word in edgewise and spent an hour this morning reading about microbes instead of cleaning the kitchen kind of thing. 😆
