And welcome to The Artist's Morning.
My name's Darius,
And I'm so grateful that you and I get this time together.
The world can be a busy place.
The world can be a noisy,
Chaotic place,
Full of distractions.
If we allow it.
Our practice today is to intentionally ground our energy,
Clear our energy,
So that we can focus our energy on what matters most to us.
Let's take a nice deep breath and begin.
Breathing in.
Big exhale out.
And if your eyes are open,
I'd like to invite you to close them now.
As we begin to go inwards together.
Good.
Continue taking deep,
Long breaths.
Allowing new energy in with your inhales,
New refreshed,
Recharged energy in.
Gently allowing old,
Unwanted,
Stagnant energy out with your exhales.
Softening your forehead,
Softening your jaw.
Taking a moment to notice the space around your heart.
Does it feel tight?
Does it feel guarded?
Does it feel numb?
You're open to it.
We're going to breathe into this space.
Your heart space.
We're going to soften this space.
We're going to allow our hearts to slowly open up.
Breathing in.
Softening your heart space.
Allowing our hearts to expand and take up more space.
Big exhale out.
And to deepen this practice,
We're going to place one or two hands on our hearts.
Connecting.
Hello,
Dear heart.
Hello,
Oldest of friends.
Thank you for everything.
You do thank you for everything you have done.
Just take a moment to feel and connect with your own heart.
I love you,

Place your hands down,
Or if you like to keep them there,
By all means.
And when we go inwards,
When we connect with our heart,
We begin to slow down the noise of the world.
So many things that can pull us off our path.
And home is always right here,
Literally right under your nose.
So let's take a moment to ground.
Spine gentle and tall,
Heart space open.
Taking deep breaths in and out.
Feeling your feet beneath you.
Perhaps your feet are making contact with the floor.
Just take a moment to bring your attention to that place of contact.
Grounding.
Noticing how stable the ground is.
Underneath that floor,
There is eventually going to be some earth.
Some roots grounding into the earth now.
There is support for you here.
There are nutrients for you and your soul here.
Continue taking deep breaths.
Heart open.
Forehead soft,
Jaw soft.
Feet grounded.
Bravo,

We are here.
We are here now.
No matter who you are,
No matter what you've been through.
I promise you something.
You have never been here now before.
You have never been here now.
There is power here now.
There is guidance here now for you.
It might look similar to a place you've been before.
But this moment is brand new.
So if there is something you are carrying into this moment from the past that no longer serves you,
It's okay to let it go.
Is there something you'd like to let go of?
All answers work.
Don't overthink it.
It could be a story.
It could be a moment.
It could be a belief.
It could be a feeling.
It's gone.
It's over.
Unless,
Of course,
You carry it forward into this moment here and now.
And if your mind begins to overthink,
That's sometimes what creative minds do.
That's okay.
No need to fight it.
Let's come back to our grounding.
Spine gentle and tall.

Taking deep breaths.
