The root chakra is the first chakra located at the base of the spine. Balancing the root chakra allows us to feel safe and secure, to stand in our truth, and be our best. This meditation guides you in healing and balancing the energies in your body that may be out of balance.

Transcript

Begin by taking a seat,

Placing your feet on the floor,

Hands resting in your lap,

And breathing into the heart.

Exhale through the heart.

Eyes are closed and turned upward towards the third eye,

Where you will activate your imagination and creativity to begin healing your body,

Your mind,

And your spirit.

Breathing in through the heart,

Exhale deeply through the heart.

And now bringing your attention to the base of your spine.

Imagine,

Sense,

See,

Feel a beautiful ball of red light at the base of the spine.

Just notice the light.

Just sense it.

As you begin to notice this energy at the base of the spine,

Allow yourself to release all fear,

Release all anxiety,

Release insecurity and vulnerability,

Release worry and doubt,

And just say to yourself,

I am letting this go.

I am letting this go.

Breathing in through the heart,

Release through the heart,

And begin placing your attention again on that red energy at the base of the spine.

Begin to influence this energy,

Letting the breath expand it,

Make it brighter.

As this light begins to grow and expand,

Feel a sense of safety,

Feeling belonging and connected.

Your ability to trust is increasing.

Your sense of acceptance is growing.

A sense of fulfillment comes over you.

You become to feel at home in your body and in your skin.

The beautiful red energy at the base of the spine grows bigger and brighter.

And you repeat to yourself,

I am grounded and balanced.

I am safe and secure.

I am grounded and balanced.

I am safe and secure.

I am ready to release old habits that no longer serve me.

I am grounded and connected to the earth.

Feel your feet planted on the earth,

Connected deep into the core of the earth,

Gathering up the earth's energy through the feet.

That energy comes up through your legs,

Up to the core,

And energizes and activates the root chakra,

The beautiful brilliant red that glows deep in your body,

In your mind,

In your spirit.

And say to yourself,

I am willing to accept myself.

I am open to trusting myself.

I love and accept myself exactly as I am.

I am whole.

I am complete.

I am safe and secure.

I am enough,

Exactly where I am.

I am enough,

Exactly as I am.

I am enough.

Releasing your hands on your heart,

Take a breath in,

Expanding your heart as well as the root chakra energy,

Expanding with the inhale.

Exhale,

Releasing any unwanted energy,

Thoughts,

Emotions,

Inhaling love and acceptance,

Inhaling strength and joy,

And releasing doubt,

Fear,

Insecurity.

Inhale safety,

Inhale security,

Inhale self-acceptance,

And release,

Letting go of what no longer serves you.

Inhale one more time,

Breathe into the base of the spine,

Inhale to the beautiful red color glowing,

Breathing in,

Let it light up and serve you and heal you,

And exhale,

Release.

Bringing your attention back to your surroundings,

Noticing your feet on the floor,

Connected to the earth,

Present here and now,

In love and acceptance as you move through your day.
