My name is Deanna and I'm here to guide you into a few moments of blissful presence.
Find a quiet space where you can sit comfortably.
Allow your hands to rest softly on your knees.
Gently close your eyes and let go of all thoughts as you arrive in your body and in this present moment.
With your next inhale,
Roll your shoulders up to your ears.
As you exhale,
Release them back down,
Feeling the expansiveness in your chest.
Inhale,
Roll them up.
Exhale,
Release them down.
Inhale,
Rise them up.
Exhale,
Release them down,
Allowing all tension to melt away as you soften into stillness.
Continue to breathe in the same rhythm,
Connecting with your breath on every inhale and every exhale.
Throughout this meditation,
Your mind may wander,
And that's okay.
Allow your thoughts to come up and pass,
Observing them quietly and without judgment,
As if they were clouds passing in the sky above.
As you inhale,
Notice the expansion in your chest as your lungs fill with fresh air.
As you exhale,
Notice the contraction as your release of breath flows back out into the universe.
Think of your breath as your anchor,
Every inhale and every exhale grounding you here in this present moment.
Inhale,
And exhale.
Breathing in presence,
Breathing out resistance,
Inhaling,
And exhaling.
And now bring your awareness to your senses.
Without sight,
What can you notice about your environment?
How does the energy feel?
Become aware of the subtle sounds,
Smells,
Feels.
Embrace your environment exactly the way it is,
With a sense of curiosity and wonder.
Allow yourself to feel a sense of gratitude for the richness of this present moment,
Of the space you occupy in your body,
Maybe even the space your body occupies in the world.
As you become aware of your physical body,
Begin to scan yourself from the crown of your head down to the tips of your toes,
Bringing your awareness to any areas of tension or discomfort.
As you identify these areas,
Visualize your breath flowing into them gently,
Replacing tension with a renewed sense of relaxation.
Imagine what it would feel like to carry this sense of presence with you in every moment of your day,
To mindfully move through your day,
To allow yourself to be a part of your day.
Imagine what it would feel like to carry this sense of presence with you in every moment of your day,
To mindfully move through your experiences,
Not just the big events or things you enjoy,
But the small,
Less desirable ones as well.
Imagine how it would feel to find contentment with your journey,
Even when it looks nothing like you had planned.
When we allow ourselves to become fully present,
We surrender ourselves to the magic of the world around us.
Slowly return your awareness back to your body.
Observing the gentle rise and fall of your chest as you inhale and exhale.
With every breath,
You are fully present,
Fully alive,
Fully in this moment.
No past,
No future,
Only here and now.
Begin to take a few final,
Deep,
Intentional breaths.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Returning your awareness to the external world around you.
Carry this sense of presence with you as you continue on with your journey,
Knowing that in every moment,
With every breath,
You can choose to be present exactly as you are.
