Tonight.
Just noticing.
In this sweet moment of surrender.
And this deep,
Deep relaxation.
And words to start.
Where does these words come from?
The Radiance Sutras.
Waves rise from water.
Flames arise from fire.
Rays emanate from the sun.
So do you and I shine forth.
From the mysterious one.
Find your way again.
To the part of you that does feel.
Like it's been there forever.
But as the waves rise.
And fall around us.
As the flames.
Ignite and are extinguished outside of us.
That like the rays emanating from the sun.
This deep space.
Of stability.
And security.
Is all the way inside of us.
And this.
Place we call home,
Deep within our body,
Our being.
Connect deeply to your breath as you exhale.
Like the wind moving across the sails on a boat.
Your breath.
Moves out of your body.
The empty space with no breath.
Pause your focus.
And invite to to draw in.
And nourishing.
Full breath,
Feeling the belly rise.
The ribs expand.
And then everything.
Releases again.
The breath moves back in,
Belly rising,
Low back is filling.
Ribs expanding.
Heart.
Lifting.
And the fullness gives way to the release completely of.
That.
Breath.
The breath continues in this wave-like motion.
Like a wave rising on the water.
The breath rises in the body.
As the wave recedes back out to sea.
The breath gives way and lets go.
And this rhythm moves through you slowly.
Softly,
Fully.
And gently.
If the breath needs to be fuller,
You bring in more breath.
If more needs to be released,
You can sigh it out.
Noticing now starting at the soles of the feet.
The way the soles of the feet.
Have softened.
All the toes.
Left toes.
And right toes.
The whole foot.
Become aware of that.
The tops of both feet.
The arches.
The heels.
Up the back of the heels.
Around the ankles.
The front of the shins.
The calf muscles.
Coming up behind the back of both knees.
The front of both knees.
The inside and outside of the knees.
The thighs on the top of the thighs.
To the sides on the outside.
Around the back of the thighs.
The inner thighs.
And then up into the hip.
Feeling into the seat.
Swirling up into the low back.
Feeling the lift of the low back.
That curve.
Around the sides of the waist.
The belly.
The bottom edge of the ribs.
Expanding across the chest.
Into the middle and upper back.
And each breath.
When it arrives.
Each vertebrae.
Feels a tiny tug.
Of motion.
And those spongy discs between each vertebrae get a little Squish.
And in the spine.
The life force,
The breath,
Prana.
Moves up.
And down,
Clearing out any.
.
.
To breathe.
Opening the pathway.
And up the upper back to the shoulders.
Down the tops of the shoulders,
Across the collarbones,
And out the upper arms.
Down to the elbows.
Out the forearms.
Through the wrist.
Palm,
Tops of the hands.
And all the fingers.
Back to the shoulders and up the back of the neck.
Across the front of the throat.
Into the back of the skull.
And now inside of the skull.
Filling up the whole inside of the head.
With this breath.
Softening the thinking.
Softening all processes.
Releasing the continual pattern.
Of thoughts.
And opening to something completely new.
From the inside of the head,
Softening the whole skull.
Up the back.
To the top of the head.
Across the forehead.
The eyebrows.
Space between the eyebrows.
Down the bridge of the nose.
Across the tip of the nose.
And each nostril.
The upper lip.
Lower lip.
Tom.
The whole jaw is relaxed.
Be safe.
Up to the sides of the jaw and the head where it is.
Meets the skull.
And into both ears,
All the way down into the ears.
And then through the eyes.
Both eyes soft.
Swimming in the sea.
Of salt water.
With the soft.
Down he covers.
Resting over that.
Waves rise from water.
Flames arise from fire.
Rays emanate from the sun.
So do you and I shine forth.
From the mysterious one.
All within.
Beyond it all.
Within it all.
Surrender completely.
To all that is surging through your body.
Your breath.
Your mind.
And fall into.
The deepest recesses.
Of your true essence.
Dissolving And the waves.
Flames.
The rays and the wind.
Rest so deeply.
This is our work.
This is our privilege.
To realize our truest nature.
In each breath.
In each moment.
With each thought.
Every word we utter.
Every act.
We participate in.
Sit down.
