Visualize or imagine yourself in a forest.
This is your forest.
You've been there many times.
It is your safe space.
It is a place where you go to relax,
To quiet the mind,
To restore your energy,
To come back to your true self.
Look up and notice what time of day it is.
Is it morning or is it night?
Take a deep breath in and notice what you smell.
Can you smell the flowers?
Or the pine trees?
Do you hear the wind?
Moving the leaves?
Can you feel the air on your skin?
Look down at your feet and you will see that you're standing on a path.
Begin walking on this path.
Soon you will hear the sounds of water and you will come to a creek.
It is a lovely creek that starts high up in the mountains where the fresh snow melts and the water flows down,
Down,
Down,
Down,
All the way to you.
Take off your shoes and step into this water,
Finding that the temperature of the water is very,
Very comfortable.
Even though the creek starts high up in the mountains,
It warms up on the way down and by the time it reaches you it is perfect temperature.
Step into the creek if you haven't already and lie down in it,
Lie down on your back.
The spot where you are right now is a sandy spot,
Meaning that the bottom of the creek is comfortable sand,
Like a soft mat or a fluffy blanket,
And so when you lie down in the creek on your back you're very comfortable.
Place your head towards the mountains and place your feet downstream.
Think about what is it that you would like to let go of most right now.
What is on your mind that is taking up too much space in there?
Again,
A deep breath in and on your exhale allow the water to wash over your body and with it wash away that which you no longer need.
Maybe it's a thought that keeps spinning in your head and it will not go away.
Allow the water to wash it away.
Maybe it's a conversation that you had and you keep thinking about it.
Take a deep breath in.
As you exhale allow the water to wash over your head,
Over your forehead,
Your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your legs and wash away that which you don't need.
Think about what is it that you would like to release.
What is it that you would like to free yourself of?
It could be the same thing.
Maybe you need some extra time to let go or it could be something else.
What is it that you would like to free yourself from?
Deep breath in and let it go.
Release.
Allow the water to wash it away.
Deep breath in.
Exhale.
Observing the water wash over your body,
Over your head,
Over your arms,
Legs and release and remove that which you don't need anymore.
Relaxing your body even more.
Relaxing your body even more.
Noticing that now this magical creak not just flows over your body but it flows through your body between every cell.
And as it flows it washes away the stress,
The worries,
The concerns.
Relaxing your body even more.
Take a deep breath in.
Observe as the water moves through your body between every cell.
Removing stress,
Worries,
Concerns,
Negativity,
Fatigue.
Inhale in and let it go.
You don't need that anymore.
Relaxing your body even more.
Allow yourself,
At least for now,
To relax,
To let go.
Wonderful.
It is now time to return to present time and space.
You can always come back to this creak.
Now you know where to find it.
All you need to do is return to your forest,
Look down by your feet,
Find your path and walk towards the creak,
Towards your cleansing space.
Getting up if you haven't already.
Finding yourself dry.
Putting on your shoes and beginning to walk back to where you started.
I will count to three.
When I say three,
You will open your eyes.
Feeling balanced,
Relaxed,
Calm and happy.
One.
Inhale.
Two.
Exhale.
Three.
Inhale.
Gently blinking your eyes open.
Returning into present time and space.
