So many of them,
You know,
They tell us to stop trying to fix ourselves.
They say to be still whenever we can.
Still mind takes no fixing or doing or efforting.
What people don't get is that they are free now.
We're not going to become free at some point in the future.
You're already free.
You just don't know it.
You're already happy,
Regardless of the situation around you.
We've all been born with a free and happy nature.
We came into the world that way.
Look at children.
We've just been programmed out of it by society.
So the question becomes,
You know,
How do you come to know that you're already free?
Well,
You don't have to do anything.
You just stop and be still with what is.
If you're feeling good,
Feel good.
If you're not feeling good,
Feel that.
Bring your awareness to your present state,
Whatever it is,
Positive,
Negative,
Indifferent,
And simply observe yourself.
Watch how everything passes.
Take note of that.
Everything passes.
Tell yourself you're not these stressful thoughts turning into stressful emotions.
You're not that at all.
No matter what your state,
Just let it be.
Don't wish it away.
Stop trying to control your experience.
Stop fixing yourself.
Who you are is the awareness observing all the comings and goings inside and outside of you.
Get in touch with that quality of awareness.
It's the same as getting in touch with who you are.
You are awareness.
That's where you'll find yourself.
Simply be still in awareness.
Don't effort for the stillness.
The stillness will come to you if you get your mind out of the way.
All the stress that you suffer from will drop.
And it'll just be you in the quiet,
Infinite space that is you.
One minute in that space is enough to cleanse you of the stress of something that just happened to you.
