Welcome to this New Moon Meditation.
I'm Elizabeth Cush,
Therapist and Soul Support for Highly Sensitive Women.
In this meditation we'll be connecting with our present moment experience with compassion and kindness.
So take a moment to settle in.
Get comfortable.
Adjust your body in any way that's right for you.
You can be sitting up or lying down.
You can have pillows supporting your back.
Whatever it is,
Just make yourself as comfortable as you can be for right now.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes or gaze softly in front of you.
And let's take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose and release it out through your nose.
Let's do this two more times.
Breathing in and breathing out.
One last time.
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling.
And as you sit or lie here,
Just notice your body as it rests.
Feel where it connects with the surface below you and the earth below that.
Feel the softness of the air surrounding you and touching your skin.
Notice where your clothes make contact with your skin.
Feel your breath as your chest and belly rise and fall.
Feel your breath in the back of your body as you expand and contract with each breath.
Can you meet yourself here with compassion?
Can you meet yourself here without judgment?
Can you hold the awareness of your body with kindness?
And for a moment,
Just be with the energy of your physical form.
What do you notice?
Do you feel the energy of the space surrounding you?
Take a moment to send your kind,
Compassionate energy to everyone who's meditating right here with you right now,
All across the world.
Can you feel their energy moving through you?
Let's just be with that for a moment.
And now we'll just bring our awareness back to our bodies,
Back to the room where we are right here,
Right now.
Bringing in some gentle movement,
Wiggling your toes,
Your fingers,
Stretching your body if that feels right for you.
Holding yourself in this space as you open your eyes and bring yourself back to the room or bring yourself back to wherever you are meditating right in this moment.
