Hi everyone.

I'm here today to share a guided meditation with you.

In this meditation we connect to the wisdom of nature to find a sense of peace and comfort in times of uncertainty and change.

For this meditation you want to find a comfortable way to position your body either sitting or lying down.

Close your eyes and just take a few moments here to observe your natural breath without trying to manipulate it or change it.

Allow your body to settle down and just focus on the feeling of your breath as it flows in and flows out.

Imagine that you are standing in front of a vast forest.

It is warm and welcoming and you know that you are safe here.

Observe the trees that are around you.

It's the peak of fall.

The leaves have changed from green to yellow,

Red,

Orange and brown.

The sky is a bright blue and the trees are beautiful.

There is a chill in the air.

The air smells clean and crisp.

The sun warms you.

You breathe in this cool crisp air.

You feel comfortable and warm.

You notice that there is a path in the forest and you choose to walk along it.

The trees are all around you.

The sun shines through their branches.

You walk slowly and you feel safe and at peace in this space.

You come to a clearing on the path.

A small round patch of grass that is open and surrounded by the trees.

You place a blanket down on the ground and you lie down in this clearing.

Feel your body connecting with the solid earth beneath you.

You can feel the pulse of life beneath the ground deep within the soil where the root system for these trees is.

The sun warms your face and you feel grounded and connected with nature.

You are safe and comfortable here.

Connected with the beauty of the natural world that surrounds you.

A breeze begins to pass through the air.

It is stronger and cooler than before.

The wind picks up and the leaves stir in their branches.

The trees start to let go of their colorful leaves.

Like confetti these leaves swirl around you.

The leaves dance in the air with the breeze.

You are safe just observing the leaves as they swirl in the air and then settle down on the grass around you.

The wind dies down and you look up at the trees.

You notice that all of the leaves are letting go now.

In no particular pattern the leaves shower down around you.

You are comfortable and relaxed.

Over time you notice that the tree branches are now bare.

They have let go of all of their leaves.

You bring your awareness back to your connection with the earth that is beneath you.

You feel complete peace and acceptance.

You know that the trees do not mourn the loss of their leaves.

They gave them willingly.

They let go knowing that nothing is permanent and by releasing the old for a time of rest and hibernation that comes in winter there will be new growth in the spring.

Nature knows when to let go and you can trust in that wisdom.

You can trust in the change of seasons and the reassurance that fall will come after summer.

Winter follows fall and that spring will come again too.

Each season has its own beauty.

You look at the strong steady trunks of the trees and the branches reaching up towards the sky.

These trees are strong and secure.

They do not try to control the changing seasons or the weather but accept them as they come.

They allow the uncertainty of the weather to mold their branches.

Like in nature we have seasons of our lives and times when we need to let go.

Like in nature we learn to trust.

We know that we can't control the weather.

We can just remain strong and steady like the trunk of those trees knowing that life will change and we will continue to grow and evolve.

Like those trees we have a quiet strength within us fortifying us.

We access this quiet strength at our center by turning inwards practicing yoga and meditation.

Enjoy these last few moments in nature surrounded by the colorful leaves that are all around you.

They make a soft carpet for you to walk along as you gather your blanket and travel back along your path accepting that there will always be change.

Like the trees you have a quiet strength deep within you.

Let your breath become a little deeper.

Bring some movement back into your body bringing yourself out of your meditation here.

I hope you found this guided meditation helpful.

Namaste.
