Hi,
My name is Fletcher Johnson and welcome to my home.
The windows are open,
A breeze flowing in,
And the simmer pot boiling in the background.
I invite you to come along with me on this visualization or maybe even try in real life.
The first thing I did was gather all my supplies,
Orange,
Mint,
Clove,
And peppercorn,
As well as a large pot filled with water.
The orange refreshing,
Uplifting,
And the pith removes stagnation.
As you begin cutting the orange,
Its scent truly comes alive.
You notice its juiciness and all of the beautiful colors and textures.
As you drop the slices of orange into the water,
Say,
Allow the scent of this orange to bring myself,
My home,
And its guests joy.
The mint was a gift from a friend.
Its scent pierces the air.
I leave it whole.
It's cool and vivacious.
As I drop the mint into the pot,
I say,
Allow the scent of this mint to reach every nook and cranny of my home.
To give this mixture an extra pow,
Adding clove and peppercorn.
Not only are these scents stimulating,
But also comforting and taking me back to nostalgic memories.
Bring the water to a slow,
Rolling boil.
While stirring counter-clothwise,
Ask that all negativity,
Heaviness,
And stagnation be removed from myself and this home.
Continuing to stir counter-clockwise as you repeat this three times.
Switching directions,
Now stirring in a clockwise fashion,
Say,
Out loud,
Please infuse myself and this home with joy,
Happiness,
Love,
And light.
Continue to stir clockwise as you repeat this three times.
Take a moment to look at this beautiful creation.
Lean in and use your hands to guide this magical mist towards your nostrils,
Breathing in all that it has to offer.
Feel the scent permeate your entire being,
Clearing blockages as it moves along.
Feel a breeze blowing around you,
Cleansing you further.
Be present of the simmer pot smell moving from the kitchen to the other parts of your house.
Notice the effects of the simmer pot on yourself and your house as it continues to cook away.
When you decide to deviate to the next thing,
Remember to come back to your simmer pot every so often,
Repeating your intention and breathing it in.
When you're complete,
Thank your simmer pot and its ingredients.
Then,
Dispose of properly,
Thinking again.
