Welcome to this meditation on self-appreciation and meaning.
Come into a neutral position for your body.
You can lie down and close your eyes or you can sit in a traditional meditation posture.
If there is anything you can do to make yourself even a little more comfortable,
Do it now.
And as soon as you are settled in,
I invite you to tune into your body breathing.
And now I invite you to bring to mind something that you appreciate about yourself.
It could be a personal strength,
A quality.
Maybe it's something you do to take care of yourself.
Maybe it's something you've done in your life that you're proud of.
So now pick anything big or small that you appreciate about yourself.
And when you have it in mind,
Really savor it and cherish it for a moment.
What does this self-appreciation feel like in your body?
How much energy feels available to you right now?
And what does the breath feel like?
What is this breath of self-appreciation?
And now I'd like you to bring to mind something that brings meaning to your life.
So something that brings your life so much meaning.
What does that sensation of meaning feel like in your body?
How do you know that,
Yes,
This is the thing that I will wake up for?
And how much energy is available to you when you think of this source of meaning in your life?
Asking yourself,
What's really important for me to give my attention to and for me to give my energy to?
What kinds of thoughts,
What kinds of experiences,
What kinds of things in my life?
Now coming home one more time to your body breathing and the sense of support all around you.
And take a moment for yourself.
See if you can start to move through the rest of your day with greater meaning and greater appreciation for all that you are.
