Namaste,
My name is Ilka and welcome to this short meditation to create space,
Find a comfortable and relaxed position,
Either lying down on the back,
Cross-legged on the floor or your yoga mat,
Or perhaps seated in a chair or a park bench,
And begin to welcome a small amount of encouragement to the breath,
Not forcing or controlling,
Just slightly increasing its capacity,
Slowing its flow,
Allowing the exhalation to become a little slower,
A little longer,
Observing and watching where the breath lets go,
And decrease the pause between the inhalation and the exhalation,
Allowing the breath to flow like a wave,
After the breath flows in,
The breath automatically lets go and flows out,
Gentle wave of breath,
And maybe there is a little more encouragement that could be here,
Soft gentle appreciation for the breath,
And now take your awareness to space,
What does the space around you feel like?
What can you sense here?
There is space between you and the ceiling,
Go ahead and sense this now,
Being present and sensing the space outside of the body,
Noticing the space that fills the room,
Notice how you can feel out into the space around you,
And begin to become more aware of the space at the surface of the skin,
Noticing the air,
Movement of air,
Just outside the layer of your skin,
Every pore open and sensitive,
Feeling air and space touch the skin,
Wave like breath,
Movements of air and space,
One graceful sensation,
Notice yourself becoming full of grace,
And could you now begin to notice the air inside the nose,
And then follow this passageway of breath inward,
All focus into the space of the breath,
Breath deep inside the ribcage,
All awareness sinking deep inside,
Noticing how the ribcage moves as you breathe,
Waves of breath,
Spaces created,
Opening and releasing,
Space inside,
Space outside,
Movement and transformation,
Cycle of taking in oxygen and converting it to carbon dioxide,
Nourishing all of existence,
Universal,
Cosmic prana,
Breathing you,
And could you now take five deeper breaths here,
Awakening to sounds,
Awakening to sensations and movements around you,
Waking up and opening eyes whenever you are ready,
