Open into a new day by clearing away any lingering energy, opening into freshness and cultivating the energy that you choose for yourself. We utilize a pursed lips breath and voice to clear away what is ready to leave. Then an open mouth breath to bring in fresh air and wake up your system. Welcome to your morning breathwork,

Voice,

And intention setting.

This practice is designed to help you clear away any lingering energy that there may be from your time in the dream world or your previous day and to help you open into the fresh energy that you choose for yourself today.

For the first part of this practice,

We'll use a clearing breath by breathing in through the nose and out through pursed lips as though you're blowing out through a straw.

Try this a few times.

In through the nose and out through pursed lips.

We'll utilize this breath with the voice to help clear excess energy in the first part of the practice.

This is a down regulating breath that helps to calm your system as well.

For the second part of the practice,

We'll utilize a breath in and out through the mouth into the belly.

So breathe into the mouth,

Into the belly,

And out through the mouth.

This is an oxygenating breath and some people may experience some side effects from this that are completely safe.

You might feel numbing,

Tingling,

Or cramping sensations.

It's safe to continue breathing or your symptoms will subside when you return to your natural breath.

You may also experience temperature changes so I recommend having a blanket nearby.

Emotions may arise in this practice and as much as you feel comfortable,

Please allow them to flow and transform.

You can cry,

Scream,

Hum,

Shake your body,

Place a comforting hand on your chest,

Whatever supports you.

Make this practice your own.

And now we begin with the clearing.

Finding yourself in a comfortable position,

Ideally laying down.

Breathing in through the nose,

Out through pursed lips.

Continuing just like this.

Out through pursed lips as though you're blowing out through a straw.

Allow your exhales to be long.

And now let's start to play around with bringing the voice into the space.

On the next exhale,

Try a long ha sound.

See how that feels for you.

Feel the vibrations landing and you're welcome to make more forceful sounds.

You can even yell.

Another sound you can try is shh.

Feel the long exhales clearing,

Welcome in whatever sounds naturally want to emerge from you.

You can also try a lip trill.

Continuing to breathe and release whatever you are ready to let go of.

Allowing this energy to release into the earth,

Ready to receive and transform.

We'll continue releasing for another minute here.

Feeling the sensations with each sound.

Imagining the vibrations shaking energy out of all of the crevices.

Continuing to clear.

Noticing if you might want to shake your body at all,

If there are any movements that would serve you as well.

And now we'll begin to transition into the oxygenating breath,

Calling in fresh energy.

And for this part of the practice,

I'll put on some music to accompany you as well.

Begin breathing in through the mouth,

Into the belly and out.

Perhaps placing your hands on your belly so you can really feel the air flowing in and out.

Beautiful.

And continuing to welcome in fresh air as much as feels there is space for.

Being gentle with the breath.

Continuing to feel the sensations in your body,

Turning towards yourself with curiosity.

Continuing to lay in this position,

Returning to your natural breath.

Feeling the sensations throughout your body here.

And now we'll drop into our intention setting practice.

What energy would you like to cultivate today?

What energy would you like to cultivate today?

Once you have found this answer for yourself,

Feel where it lands in your body and perhaps breathe into this space.

Now let's transform your intention into a strong I am statement.

I am claiming your intention as a present tense manifestation.

Speak this out loud for yourself.

Hear your own voice and feel this land in your body,

Infusing your whole body with energy and power.

Breathe and feel your whole body at once.
