As we begin this meditation today,
Just taking a moment to find a comfortable seated position or lying down,
Whatever is honoring for your body.
And as you come into this space,
Gently closing or lowering the eyes,
Becoming aware of your breath,
Feeling the cool air as you inhale,
And the warm air as you exhale.
And you may like to just move any part of your body,
Just releasing any bits of tension or stress,
Any tightness,
Gently turning the head from side to side or up and down,
Rolling through your shoulders,
Wriggling gently through your fingers and your toes,
Until you begin to settle in this space.
And as you become aware of this moment,
Of your body,
Of your thoughts,
Simply allow your thoughts to be without passing judgment,
Without going into the story.
Give thanks to the thought and let it continue on.
And as the thoughts drift on by,
Take a moment now again,
Free of judgment,
Simply acknowledging who do they belong to?
The thoughts,
The ideas,
The words,
The feelings that are in your awareness now.
Do they belong to other people?
Are they societal expectations?
Are they your thoughts?
The answer is no,
These are not your thoughts,
They belong to others.
Again,
Give thanks to the thought and send it on its way.
There is no space for other people's thoughts,
Opinions,
Beliefs to take up valuable residency within your mind,
Your body,
Your spirit.
So in this moment,
As you inhale deeply,
Give thanks to the thoughts,
And as you exhale,
Sighing out from the mouth,
Allow the thought,
The belief to go.
Believe your space,
Your space.
Continuing,
Say thanks and let go to the thoughts and beliefs that are not yours to carry anymore.
Continuing to inhale deeply through the nose,
And exhale from the mouth.
Now coming back to your natural breath,
Bringing your hands to your heart center,
Over your chest,
Your palms connecting to your heart space,
And feeling that rush of energy,
Energy from the earth,
Energy from the universe,
Filling up the space that has been created,
Filling it up with this loving energy,
This deep inner knowing and wisdom that reminds you,
That carries and holds all that is important to you.
As you breathe deeply into the chest,
Your chest,
Feeling your values,
What is a priority to you,
To live the life that you desire,
To bring you joy,
To bring you peace,
Allow space for that now,
To expand in your heart center.
Now,
You may feel words,
Textures,
Sounds,
Colors,
Vibrations,
Feelings,
Whatever it is,
Just allowing it to be,
Knowing that it is enough,
That it is true for you,
Knowing deeply and completely,
That you have all that you require,
All that you desire for your life,
That you know what is important for you,
What you truly value in this moment.
Breathing that in deeply,
Exhaling completely,
Ready now,
Coming back to your body,
And you may like to open up your journal,
Take your pen and write down what came through for you,
What is important for you,
What do you value most,
And trusting that when you connect with your heart space,
It is enough,
Trusting your inner guidance,
Your inner wisdom,
Your spirit.
And continuing to write for as long as you require,
And when you're ready,
Continuing on with your day.
