This morning meditation is all about surrendering. When we respect our emotions we can accept the low feeling that we are experiencing. With an approach of acceptance, we will allow our emotions to be processed the way they need to. There is nothing inherently wrong with feeling low. Feel the sadness but with a positive outlook on it. You are a beautiful human being who deserves to feel what is going on inside your body. Today, you will respect how you are feeling, you are not alone. This message is accompanied by binaural tones.

So,

You have woken up with the blues.

That's okay.

We all have those days from time to time.

Maybe you didn't sleep well,

Maybe you've had a bad week,

Maybe you just feel bad and you're not entirely sure why.

Whatever the reason,

Know that it's okay to feel the way you do.

You don't need to fight your way out of it today.

This meditation is about letting go and surrendering to that feeling,

Because fighting it doesn't do any good.

You need to respect your body,

Respect your mind,

Respect your emotions.

And with that thought in mind,

I'd like you to take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

With that release you release any tension that's in your body,

And with every breath in you take from now on,

You allow your emotions to simply process.

They are simply as they are,

And you can accept them.

By doing so,

You will be able to navigate through this day with a sense of control,

A sense of power.

You don't have to be the happiest person in the world today.

You can simply know that you are here in control of your emotion.

Well done for being here.

I'd like you for a moment to just feel what's going on inside your body.

Where is the emotion being held?

Is it in your stomach?

Is there a tension in your mind or in your muscles?

Give yourself a minute just to feel what's going on inside you.

Hopefully now you've been able to identify some of those areas of tension.

Now I would like you to imagine a white light surrounding your body,

Almost like a bubble.

This light is a light which soothes you.

I'd like you to imagine this light slowly contracting until it eventually touches the surface of your skin,

And as it does so you can feel a tingling sensation.

Focus on that sensation for a moment.

This may offer you a good feeling and allow this to remind you that no matter what you're going through,

You can find the goodness in this day.

The light continues to get smaller and smaller and begins entering your body.

As it does so,

It begins to move towards the areas of tension that you identified.

I'd like you to imagine this light moving to that area of your body,

Or those areas of your body,

And as it makes contact,

Give yourself permission to have a soothing sensation in this area.

You may want to say out loud or in your mind,

I give myself permission to soothe my tension.

As you say this,

Just imagine this light moving around in that area,

Giving you a good feeling.

Now you have given yourself permission to soothe this area of tension,

I'd like you to just focus on your breath for a moment,

No need to take control of it,

Just notice its natural rhythm,

Perhaps you'd like to focus on the rise and fall of your chest,

Or the feeling of the air going into your body and the warm air exiting your body.

Just pay attention to your breath for a little while,

And as every moment passes throughout the day,

You can remind yourself that you can soothe this tension at any moment,

All you have to say is,

I give myself permission to soothe my tension,

And that will act as a trigger,

A reminder for your body to relax and take it easy.

That's the key for today,

Navigating through these blues,

Just taking it easy and doing what you can,

And know that this too shall pass.

Today is your day,

You are in control of it.
