Let's take some time to reflect on taking care of yourself.
Find a comfortable and wakeful sitting posture and gently close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Take a deep breath all the way in and slowly gently breathe all the way out.
And then allow the body to sink a little deeper into your posture.
How are you feeling right now?
How is the body feeling right now?
Are there any areas in the body calling for your attention?
If you're feeling tired or unwell,
Which parts of the body are telling you that you're tired or unwell?
Simply observe the body the way it is without changing anything in this experience.
As you sit here resting in the present,
Allow the following questions to settle into your awareness.
What does being well mean to you?
If you were completely well,
What would that look like?
How would you be feeling?
How would you be living?
What would you be doing less of?
And what would you be doing more of?
Who would you spend more time with?
Where would more of your attention and energy go to?
Gently holding this sense of you being well and feeling well in the mind and body.
Softly breathing in and breathing out.
Allowing this experience to be gentle and kind to yourself.
When you're ready,
Bring to mind one thing you can do to take better care of yourself.
Perhaps it's a new activity or a small change or subtle shift.
Or perhaps a form of letting go.
Consider how you might create the conditions for this to happen.
What is the first step you might take?
Whose support would you need?
And how will mindfulness be of help to you?
One moment at a time,
Simply watching what arises within the mind and perhaps the body.
Breathing in and out through this experience.
One breath at a time.
And when you're ready,
Let's end this reflection by taking a deep breath in,
Exhaling completely,
And gently open or widen the eyes.
