Today's meditation will support you to connect with a feeling of love,
And we'll learn to love like the sun,
Cultivating the energy of the sun from deep within you.
Today's meditation will work with visualization,
So if you wish,
And if it feels good for you,
You can let your eyes half or fully close.
By letting your eyes close,
We begin to learn to see what we might have missed out with our eyes open.
If the practice of letting your eyes close doesn't feel safe or good for you,
You're welcome to keep your eyes open,
But guide your awareness inwards into the inner landscape that is you.
As you guide your awareness inwards,
We drop into the layers of your being,
Starting with the weight,
Shape,
Form of your physical body.
Notice the weight,
Shape,
Form of your physical body,
And the next time you exhale,
See if you could allow your body to gently release down onto the chair,
The sofa,
Whatever surface is supporting you.
And as you exhale,
Releasing the weight of your body down,
Notice the ebb and flow of your breath that is the pulsation of energy that is also you,
That is even more subtle than yourself on a physical level.
Notice the rise and fall of your breath as a manifestation of the pulsation of your energy.
With your next exhale,
We now let your awareness drop even deeper,
And notice the quality and the texture of your mind.
Beyond your physical body,
Your energy body,
There is also your mental body.
Notice the quality and texture of your mind without judging it,
Feel the potential and spaciousness that is present here.
And with your next exhale,
Drop even deeper into yourself,
Reaching into the part of you deep within that knows,
And knows that it knows,
The part of you that is connected with your intuitive body.
As you connect with this part of your body that is deeply wise,
That is deeply connected with your heart,
Exhale as if you are like a wave diving back into the ocean.
At the center of you,
Inhabit and feel this space where there is a permeating sense of peace and bliss that no one can take away from you.
And we call this the bliss body.
As you reside in this space,
Connecting with all layers of your being,
Start to visualize and see deep inside of you a little sun,
Luminous,
Bright,
And warm,
Warming you through the cold and darkness of winter.
When you breathe in,
You feel this sunlight begin to expand and shine.
And then when you breathe out,
Feel this light radiate and wrap around you all five layers of your being,
Forming a cocoon.
Inhale,
Feeling this light of love and warmth shine and radiate out.
And exhale,
Letting it wrap around and embrace you from the front,
The back,
The left,
The right,
Above,
And below.
Again,
Inhaling,
Feeling it begin to saturate,
To flow outwards,
And illuminate the space that you are in.
And then exhaling,
Feeling it envelope all of you.
As you feel it envelope all of you,
Let both of these experiences stay in your consciousness.
It is as if the light of this little sun that is love from within you,
From your bliss body,
It flows from this infinite well of love that is deep inside of you,
So that it lights up the world.
At the same time,
Because this is infinite,
It wraps around you,
Forming this boundary,
Keeping you safe,
Keeping you loved through all challenging transitions and difficult situations.
You're welcome to stay with this practice,
With this cocoon of love and light.
If you feel ready to bring this practice to a close,
Then we will prepare to gather this light,
And then slowly let it saturate layer by layer from deep inside.
Let it flow from your bliss body towards your intuitive body,
Further out towards your mental body,
Even further out towards your energy body,
And then reaching the most surface,
The most manifest layer of you.
Let it saturate and live in every single space that is your physical body.
Wherever you need that reminder that you are love,
You are loving,
You are love itself,
Let this reminder go there and be heard.
To conclude this practice,
Gently and slowly,
We bring both of your hands and rest them right in front of this space that is your heart,
Acknowledging this little sun inside of you,
This cocoon around you,
And this love and light that is accessible to you always.
If your eyes are closed,
Gently and slowly,
Let them blink open.
