Welcome back.
Today I will guide you through a visualization meditation to cultivate self-love through the sacred act of marrying yourself.
Please start by coming into a comfortable seated position.
Exhale and allow yourself to settle into your body,
Into your seat,
Into this moment,
Here and now.
And for the next three breaths,
Continue to exhale and relax your body even more.
Guide your awareness inwards into the inner landscape of you.
If it feels good for you,
You can let your eyes half or fully close.
With your next exhale,
Allow yourself to reside in your mind's eye.
As you reside in your mind's eye,
See yourself in a special place.
This could be a homely country house,
A centuries-old church,
A sandy beach on a tropical paradise,
Or any place that is special to you.
This could be a place you've visited before that holds some special significance to you.
Or it could be a place you've been wanting to go,
Or a place you've yet to go.
Feel and see yourself in this special place.
Where is this place?
Is it warm or cold?
Are you indoors or outdoors?
Does it feel intimate and cozy,
Or perhaps grand and spacious?
Are there any decorations that have been put up?
Or any things that catch your eye?
What else do you see,
Hear,
Smell,
And feel in this special place?
How does being in this special place make you feel?
And feel in this special place.
How does being in this special place make you feel?
Anytime you wish to journal,
You can pause this audio and journal for as long as it feels good for you before continuing.
As you feel yourself in your special place,
Also feel yourself dressed in a special way.
Dressed as how you would like to be seen,
How you would like to be and feel loved and remembered.
This might be the finest,
Most elegant clothes for this special occasion.
It might be something comfortable that makes you feel at ease.
It could be something that expresses your unique personality.
Whatever you are wearing,
Feel the fabric and the fit of this special clothing on your skin.
Feel how good wearing these clothes make you feel.
As you see and feel yourself in your special place,
Dressed exactly as how you would like to be,
Notice if anyone is with you here.
Who is witnessing you as you go through your sacred fire?
You might be alone if you prefer this to be a private and intimate ceremony.
Or maybe you are with a few loved ones.
Or perhaps you are surrounded by a group of people who matter deeply to you.
Or perhaps you are surrounded by a group of people who matter deeply to you.
Or perhaps you feel yourself in the presence of the divine,
The pulsation of life itself.
Whoever is there to witness you,
Feel the presence of this witness.
And feel how wonderful being witnessed makes you feel.
See and feel yourself prepared to make your sacred vows.
These vows are your deepest commitment to love,
Cherish,
And deeply care for all parts of yourself,
In sickness and in health,
Until your time or moment.
On this planet comes to an end.
As you prepare to make these vows,
See yourself.
See your own face.
Feel yourself in the presence of yourself.
See clearly you as you are.
Sense and feel all of your hopes,
Dreams,
Vulnerabilities.
Witness all of the person you are,
With all your strengths and weaknesses.
With all your strengths and weaknesses,
Your imperfections,
And your beauty.
And feel how it feels to be seen,
Acknowledged,
And appreciated by yourself in this way.
As I read the following vows,
You may wish to repeat them to yourself aloud,
Or quietly,
To yourself.
I promise to comfort you and always be by your side,
Through all of life's ups and downs.
I vow to always be your best friend,
No matter what the future might bring.
I promise to always root for you,
Cheer you on,
And be your biggest fan.
I promise never to abandon you,
Neglect you,
Or forget you.
I promise to spend the rest of my days loving you madly.
I promise to cherish you for the rest of your life.
For richer or poorer,
In sickness and in health,
For better or for worse,
I will always be by your side.
For richer or poorer,
In sickness and in health,
For better or for worse,
I promise to love you and spend the rest of my days with you.
Feel yourself prepared to seal this commitment with a gesture.
This might be to place a sacred ring,
Ornament,
Or object on yourself,
Or whatever other gesture is meaningful or special to you.
Feel and see yourself going through this gesture as you embody this commitment.
As you embody this commitment to yourself.
Feel the weight and significance of this gesture as it symbolizes the deep and abiding commitment you've made to yourself.
With your next inhale,
In the center of your heart,
Feel this commitment warm and spread and let it settle deeply within you.
And with your next exhale,
Feel the warmth of this love radiating out.
Feeling throughout your entire being,
Filling every cell and space within you.
If and when you feel ready to conclude this meditation,
Gently guide your awareness to the sounds and sensations external of you.
Notice the sensation and the weight of your body seated,
The support of the chair or the ground beneath you.
Notice any sounds you might hear from the space that you are in.
And notice the ebb and flow and rhythm of your breath.
With your next couple of breaths,
Allow yourself a feeling of gladness.
Of gladness for this time you've dedicated to honoring and loving yourself.
Know that this love and commitment will continue to grow and support you in all aspects of your life.
When you feel ready,
If your eyes are closed,
Gently and slowly,
Let your eyes blink open.
Thank you for joining me for this meditation.
Please take your time to transition into the rest of your day,
Carrying these sacred vows and the love you have for yourself into every moment.
Remember,
You are always worthy of your own love and care.
