You’re encouraged to fall asleep during any part of this meditation, so when you begin to feel tired, just follow the feeling. If it happens during the sleep talk-down, that’s fine. If it doesn’t happen until the lucid dream incubation, that’s also fine. First and foremost, prioritize falling to sleep. Follow along with Reece’s words until you begin to feel drowsy, at which point, let go, and allow yourself to gently drift away. Happy dreaming!

Hello,

I'm Rhys Jones and welcome to this Sleep Talkdown and Lucid Dream incubation video.

Today I'll be guiding you through the process of relaxing your mind,

Preparing yourself for sleep and then,

Once your mind space has been softened,

Sowing the seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.

In this particular video,

The dream theme will be.

.

.

A winter walk through a barren forest.

Please note,

You're free to fall asleep at any part of this video,

So when you begin to feel tired,

Don't hesitate to follow that feeling.

If that happens during the sleep talkdown,

That's fine.

If it doesn't happen until the lucid dream incubation,

That's also fine.

First and foremost,

Prioritize falling to sleep.

Do not wait for my permission to do so.

Follow my words until you begin to feel drowsy.

At which point,

Allow yourself to let go and gently drift away.

And so,

To begin,

Please lay down on your bed and get into a position that you feel comfortable with.

On your belly,

On your side,

Or on your back.

Whichever position you feel most comfortable in,

Adopt it now,

And then make any final adjustments you need in order to feel fully settled.

If you haven't already,

You should now close your eyes and take a deep breath in and out and begin to tune into your senses.

Allow yourself to feel all that there is to feel.

There's no need to block anything out or push anything away.

Let all the sensory data soak in.

Feel the bed on your skin,

The pillow on your head,

The sensation of your breath.

Each piece of data is telling you a story.

So turn your attention to these stories now and listen to what they have to say.

Good놔,

GSA.

And if there are any sounds in the room,

Be aware of those also.

Perhaps you have a fan running,

Or perhaps you hear a car off in the distance,

Or maybe you have earbuds in and are simply listening to the sound of my voice.

Whatever you hear,

Again just like the other sensations,

Don't try to push it away.

It's often in the fight to block things out that stress arises.

So instead,

Whatever you hear in this moment,

Acknowledge it and lie here with it.

Assume when I And if you feel any discomfort in your body,

Know that you can reposition yourself to relieve it.

You don't have to stay perfectly still once the session begins.

In fact,

It's perfectly normal to adjust yourself once or twice during the process of winding down for sleep.

All that I ask is that,

If you feel this desire to move,

Notice the thought itself arising.

Acknowledge it.

Grant its request.

And then,

Tune in precisely to the physical sensations of moving as you move.

Awareness,

As always,

Is key here.

And if you did indeed move,

Now settle back into the feeling of comfort,

Of stillness.

You are being supported by the bed,

Cradled.

You are at ease,

Relaxed,

And safe.

And now,

Return your attention to observing your senses.

The physical sensation of lying on the bed.

Any noises that might be in the room.

Extend your awareness out into smells too.

And as you do this,

Find yourself relaxing into the moment even further.

Relaxing into this field of sensory data.

Remember you can leave your mind perfectly relaxed,

Whilst also noticing precisely what appears in any given moment.

These are not two exclusive states.

They are,

In fact,

Complementary.

Ok.

And in just the same way you've been observing your senses,

I want you to also observe any thoughts that arise,

Just like a moment ago we paid attention to any desire to move.

Now I don't want you to get lost in these thoughts or entrenched in them,

But I want you to notice when they arise.

Don't entertain them or let them lead you away into fantasy,

But see them,

Observe them,

Watch as they appear and as they fall away.

Don't try to direct them,

Or push them down,

Just watch them pass by.

Let them come and go of their own accord,

And as they do,

Be fully aware of the process unfolding.

And as this session continues,

I'd like you to now expand your field of awareness into another sense.

First you noticed physical sensations,

Then you noticed sounds,

Smells,

And thoughts.

And now bring your attention toward your visual field.

Remember,

Just because your eyes are closed,

It doesn't mean that your visual field has disappeared.

It's still there,

Either in the form of darkness,

Or a color tone,

Or perhaps some shapes and patterns.

Whatever's there,

Notice that something is indeed there.

And in that noticing,

Find more relaxation.

Allow yourself to be soothed by your visual field.

You are now in a supremely relaxed state,

Either sleeping or on the edge of sleeping,

And so we're ready to begin sowing the seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night.

By following along with my words and visualizing them as you go,

You'll prime yourself to draw upon these very same images during REM.

There's no need to follow along strictly,

Just continue relaxing,

And allow my words to wash over you.

Whatever images come,

Come.

And even if you're now asleep,

Know that your subconscious will soak these words in and store them for later.

So,

Let's begin.

You find yourself in a barren landscape.

The sun and moon hang heavy in the sky.

You look from side to side and see that you're surrounded by many trees.

But all are bare,

Skinny and naked.

It reminds you of a graveyard,

A site composed of what once was and what will be again.

The ground beneath you is snowy,

But you've come prepared.

Your clothes are thick,

Your shoes sturdy,

And your mind strong.

You're ready to explore this winter wonderland,

So you begin to trudge through the snow.

You find yourself in a barren landscape.

The sun and moon hang heavy in the sky.

And for miles you hike on,

Calm and stoic.

You see it as a meditation of sorts.

The scene doesn't change and yet,

Here you are,

Eager as ever to explore,

To press on.

And so you do.

And as you do,

You notice the position of the sun and moon shift in the sky.

Their setting,

You realize.

And as they move slowly downward,

Toward the horizon,

You watch them keenly.

The sun is bright,

But as it looms closer and closer to the edge of the sky,

It fades in intensity,

Casting a subdued pink haze outward.

For a moment,

The beauty stops you in your tracks.

And as you watch,

You're reminded of a past experience,

In another place at another time.

An experience that's still vivid in your mind's eye.

You remember being on an alien planet before,

Watching an eclipse with a group of beings.

This again,

You think.

But this time,

You're truly alone.

No crowd to share in the moment like before.

And so,

You bathe in the glory of this solitude,

Feeling the dying heat of the sun on your skin,

And marveling at the sight of the two celestial bodies dancing.

Then the moment passes,

And the sun falls beneath the horizon.

Just the moon hangs there now,

Lighting its dim light onto the forest floor below,

Revealing just enough of the path to allow you to continue on your way.

And so you do,

Shifting your eyes from the sky back to your immediate surroundings.

The ice path,

The naked trees,

The dead bark on the ground.

Your journey isn't quite over yet.

I'm heading somewhere,

You think,

Even though you're not quite sure where that somewhere is.

GOD IS ONE And now,

Off in the distance,

You finally catch sight of something new.

Something other than the barren landscape of snow and dead trees.

That's it.

You think,

That's the place I've been looking for.

And so,

You carry on trudging forward,

With renewed vigor in your step.

Driven to get to this place.

Motivated to explore this new location.

But still,

You can't quite make out the details of what you're seeing.

It's something you know that much,

But it's too far away to make out exactly what.

I have to get closer.

You think,

Pressing on.

You think,

That's the place I've been looking for.

But the further you walk,

The further away this place appears.

At first,

You think you're just imagining things,

But eventually you stop to check in with yourself.

And this isn't right,

You think.

I should be closer by now,

But if anything,

I'm further away.

And with this questioning,

Another part of your mind comes back online.

Hang on a minute,

You think.

What is this?

Where am I?

And just like that,

The realisation of what you've been doing for the last ten minutes dawns on you.

I must be dreaming,

You say out loud,

Lifting your hand to confirm your suspicions.

It's ablaze with bright white light,

And seeing it makes you feel emboldened.

Indeed,

I'm dreaming.

This is my place.

My dream.

And I can do whatever I please.

In the blink of an eye,

The place you are trying to reach is now mere steps away,

Ready to explore.

You have now successfully planted the seeds for a lucid dream later on in the night,

And have primed yourself to recognise it as such when it occurs.

You're now also in a state of supreme relaxation,

Fully at ease,

And ready to begin the first phase of sleeping.

And so,

If you haven't already,

You may now let go and drift away.

It's time for sleep.

Thank you incidentally.
