We have a choice in every moment,
And that choice is peace.
No matter what challenging emotions we might be experiencing,
We can,
Instead of covering them up and running from them,
We can begin gently turning towards them with compassion and courage.
We can be gentle with ourselves in the face of these strong emotions,
And that will help us integrate them,
And it will help us stay much more in the present moment,
Rather than running around,
Trying to avoid all of these inherently natural parts of our human experience,
Like fear and shame and jealousy and anger.
And when any of these emotions do happen to arise,
We can simply again and again just turn to them and be very gentle with ourselves and with them,
And meet them within this space of awareness that we are.
And doing that will leave us much more in a state of peace,
Ease,
And power.
