Dear Divine,
As this day behind wraps up in space and time,
Allow me to say thank you for today.
Thank you for the beauty that shone through,
For the teachings tough but true,
For the blessing of each breath and all of my senses.
In this moment I release my defenses and surrender,
Turning down the light and slipping into night.
From head to toe I invite my body to let go.
Each inhale I welcome peace and each exhale I release.
For this moment is all I need.
And before I drift to sleep,
I count three gifts that are here with me as I speak.
Count them now.
One,
Two,
Three.
And as the sky becomes dark,
I recognize this day's long and beautiful arc.
And as time it slows and my eyes come to close,
My forehead melts and I soften everywhere else.
And from this restful place,
I am honored by your grace,
For in this moment I am safe.
May I and all the world be safe.
May I and all the world know love and peace and care.
This whole blue earth we share.
Earth,
I offer you this prayer.

And one last time for tonight,
My gratitude.
I honor and appreciate your magnitude.
From dark to light,
From earth to sky,
I melt with a sigh.
